COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We invite you to discover this newest beer style Black IPA. Political debate rages over the origins of this jet black beer as both coasts feel they deserve credit. Our Black Top is a pleasant road connecting Villages and Communities statewide on a ride of Black IPA discovery. Expect this beer to pour a hop forward jet black glass brimming with aromatic bitterness. Brewmaster Dan skillfully weaves molasses and chocolate malt undertones with a soaring rush of clean citrus and pine hop notes, to deliver a drinkable Black IPA. Savor Black Top, like Wisconsin’s miles of licorice ribbons of ink that meander through armies of corn and bovine mowed fields. Enjoy the journey on a road less traveled.

On tap @ the Über Tap Room in the Wisconsin Cheese Shop, Milwaukee. Very hazy medium brown, thick tan head. Light guava, light roast, a milder BIPA. Nice though.

Sampled at GABF 2013. Pours a watery brown with some foamy, beige head. Nose of rubber, toast, pine, orange peel. Flavors of brown malts, toast, crackers, orange. Clean finish. Solid.

Pours a beautiful black. Aroma has notes of pine and citrus with molasses undertones. An unexpected experience and worth another glass.

12 oz bottle. (Kwik Trip) Lake Mills, WI.
Dark reddish brown colour with a small tan head. Grassy and fruity hops, liquorice, mild roasted malt and mild bitterness in a delicious aroma. Very balanced. The flavour is a bit more leaning to a porter and the aroma to an IPA. Roasted malt, bitterness, berries and grassy hops in the flavour. Nice and tasty.

Thanks bullzeye. Juicy hoppy aroma. No blackness in aroma. Nice foam. Thinner than I thought it would be. Highly drinkable. Nice roasty IPA.

Bottle: Dark brown with an off-white head with a warm inviting aroma of juniper, apricot, a piece of rye bread in the toaster, and grapefruit. Hoppy flavors but not overpowering. Creamy feel, very nice. Thick bitter aftertastes with lots of juniper.

12oz bottle brought back from Wisconsin. Dark brown with a lasting tan head. Soft light roast aroma. Big hoppy flavor and moderate bitterness. Soft roasted flavors are rounding out everything. Very nice CDA or Black IPA or whatever.

Bottle. Pours nearly black with medium tan head. Smell is pine and citrus hops with dark roasted malts that take a backseat to the hops. Nice nose. Taste is mostly piney hops with some spicy and citrus notes. Dark malts some come off mild with medium to medium high bitterness where the spicy hops linger in the finish. Good.

Really? Do you just take all your "standard" beers and make them a mild ale of some sort? Come on. I love your fruits and unchained series, but this is shit.
