Commercial Description:
Hearty and satisfying, our Coffee Stout is the ultimate full-bodied brew. Wisconsin water, roasted malts, and imported hops are the natural ingredients we use to brew this bier. Then cold pressed organic coffee from Just Coffee Co-op is infused into the brew. Expect this bier to pour a deep creamy head over an ebony rich body. Notice the powerful malt bouquet balanced by a spectrum of extravagant flavor. Served at room temperature this Wisconsin Coffee Stout is guaranteed to warm even the coldest heart.

Bottle courtesy of Monger: Poured a clear black color stout with a nice big foamy brown color head with good retention and some good lacing. Aroma of dry coffee is dominating but not to the point of being gross. Body is a bit light with some great carbonation. Definitely not en extreme example of a coffee stout but a well balance example that I wouldn’t mind having access to on amore regular basis.

Notes found tucked in my rating pad from awhile ago. Deep mahogany body. Small tan head. Marked aroma of coffee touched with chocolate, roasted barley, ash. Not as rich and robust as hoped for. Flavor was coffee sweetened with raw sugar and a drop of cream. Could have been better.

Pours black with a quarter inch tan head. Aroma is definitely dominated by coffee. Flavor is quite unspectacular. It tastes like a glass of cold black coffee. Lots of chalky bitterness and taste. watery. nice soft carbonation. i’ll let it warm up. not helping. one of the few new glarus beers i dont love or even like.

Dark color. Smell of coffee, malt, hops and minor coco. Taste of roasted coffee beans, malt, chocolate, hops, bread and nuts. Its a lot better when it warms up.

Bottle thanks to xnoxhatex poured almost black in color with a tan head. The aroma was roast, oats and coffee. Flavor had coffee up front with a well rounded stout balance. Not a strong tasting coffee stout, but a good easy drinking beer.

12 oz bottle, via iowaherkeye. Gusher Alert!! Pours a dark cola brown body under a small fizzy beige head after a portion of the contents overflow the bottle. Lots of vigerous visible carbonation. The nose is just great. A perfect meld of roasted barley and coffee with a little nuttiness and chalk creeping in. Flavor is burnt and astringent malt with a light lactic note. The coffee emerges on the finish with a dusty yeastiness late. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a somewhat creamy yet oily texture and fairly active, yet soft, carbonation. I’m a little biased when it comes to coffee beers, but this was pretty good.
