3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
12oz bottle from Siebel. Pours a deep brown, almost black colored body with a finger-width, creamy and frothy, brown head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing. Aroma is sweet roasts with a good amount of chocolate, some caramel, and a nice balanced coffee note. Flavor is similar. Sweet roasts and coffee with a bit of a cream note, a solid dark chocolate, and a light caramel. Finishes dry and lightly bitter with a nice roastiness, fresh coffee, and light sweetness. Lengthy aftertaste following a medium body and a moderate, crisp carbonation. Overall, a straightforward, but really pleasant coffee stout. Balanced with a good amount of coffee, but never too much to take away from the sweet roasts, chocolates, and caramel. Good beer and pretty impressive for the low ABV%.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 oz. bottle, bonus’d to me by ekoerper (thanks Ed), pours black with a small, foamy, dull beige head. Aroma is very mellow, with drip coffee being the only real discernible note. Flavour is likewise quite mellow, with notes of coffee upfront, a touch of roast and a bit of chocolate to end out the palate. Medium-bodied, with pretty subtle flavours, but pretty impressive for being sub-5%. Solid, albeit unspectacular stout.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle from a generous BA trader - thank you Zachary! Black pour with a large, rocky tan head. Aroma is dry coffee grinds, heavy roast, and complimentary chocolate. Taste is roasty and dry with coffee, chocolate, and light hop bitterness thorugh the finish with the smallest bit of malt sweetness. Mouthfeel is clean, precise, and dry. Understated, tightly engineered, and spot on brilliant. Excellent beer.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Very dark brown pour with a decent beige head. Sugary chocolate, coffee, and lightly toasted malt. A bit thin, light in body, soft carbonation, almost creamy, and finishes abruptly. Almost no alcohol presence.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a deep black with minimal head. Smells of roasty malts and chocolate. Aroma is more subtle than others of the same style. Restrained malt taste and a great combo of creamy and bitter. Pretty light body with a low amount of carbonation. Finishes a bit too quickly. Overall, a very enjoyable beer! Flavors also become more robust as the beer warms
Not the best that I have had of the style but still quite refreshing and delicious as the 1200 am wake up

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours opaque black coffee with a billowy tan head. Aroma is malty with a hint of deeper, darker things to come. Does not disappoint. Moderately toasted malt, with light bitter coffee and demerara sugar - Boston brown bread. Barely sweet. Slightly fizzy on the tonque, good substance, long finish. Overall, this could be a "stock up" "go to" everyday beer. Beautifully balanced, great drinking without being over the top.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
This beer combines the very best of two worlds: new glarus and stouts! New glarus has never made a beer quite like this, and it does nor disappoint. Warning, it states clearly on the bottle that it should be served at room temperature...don’t do it! Keep it cold like the rest of your beer!

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Dark brown almost black appearance with a 1 fingure white head. Aroma was yeast with coffee and hints of roasted malts. On the palate there was a Belgian yeast followed by coffee and finishing with mild roasted malts. Mouthfeel was medium with nice carbonation for a stout. Solid stout overall but nothing special.

OK i guess this is why i keep trying New Glarus beers. This one for me hits out of the park. Very nice blend of the Coffee and Stouty malts and rich feel.
