3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
bottle thanks to madbeerbaron. initially a very folgers, green coffee aroma. turns to a more coffee ground nose upon further sniffing. very small, off white to khaki head, dissipates to almost nothing other than a film and a few large bubbles. Chocolate malt and coffee play off each other to prevent this from becoming an overly astringent bomb. A well balanced stout with moderate coffee in the flavor. not overly bitter and well done.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12 ounce bottle pour into a snifter. Pours a thick, viscous brown with a light beige head of foam. Aroma is spent coffee grounds, some powder creamer, and a mild roasty char. The taste has a coffee bitterness that rides from start to finish and lingers on the tongue for several moments after the swallow. Medium to thick mouthfeel with low to medium carbonation.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle from madbeerbaron. Pours muddy brown/black with nice frothy tan head. I get some coffee in the nose...yeasty, hay. Taste is delicate coffee and roasted malt that hits in the front and back. Savory, and minimal sweetness for a stout of this variety. Lots of carbonation. Good overall sweet stout.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
A: Pours a dark, near black stout. Light toasted cream, single finger head falls quickly to a thin sheet of the same. Spotty lacing. difficult to asses clarity.
S: cocoa more than anything. Quite lightly creamy. Coffee and roasted malts come thru. Hints of soil.
T: Overly roasted IMO. Very strong toasty flavor. Some hints of dark fruits. Woody hints. The coffee flavors are burnt and dry with nutty tones.
M: Medium to light body with high carbonation for the genre. Dry. Out of line for style IMO.
O: A little too dry, light, bubbly. Coffee is subdued and burnt.
