COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hearty and satisfying, our Coffee Stout is the ultimate full-bodied brew. Wisconsin water, roasted malts, and imported hops are the natural ingredients we use to brew this bier. Then cold pressed organic coffee from Just Coffee Co-op is infused into the brew. Expect this bier to pour a deep creamy head over an ebony rich body. Notice the powerful malt bouquet balanced by a spectrum of extravagant flavor. Served at room temperature this Wisconsin Coffee Stout is guaranteed to warm even the coldest heart.

Bottled: unk A: Pours a dark, near black stout. Light toasted cream, single finger head falls quickly to a thin sheet of the same. Spotty lacing. difficult to asses clarity. S: cocoa more than anything. Quite lightly creamy. Coffee and roasted malts come thru. Hints of soil. T: Overly roasted IMO. Very strong toasty flavor. Some hints of dark fruits. Woody hints. The coffee flavors are burnt and dry with nutty tones. M: Medium to light body with high carbonation for the genre. Dry. Out of line for style IMO. O: A little too dry, light, bubbly. Coffee is subdued and burnt. Serving type: bottle 05-18-2011

12oz bottle poured into a shaker. Pours black with minimal head. Aroma of coffee and dark chocolate. Taste is lightly bitter. Coffee dominates with hints of dark chocolate in the finish. Full bodied with a thinner than expected texture. Lively carbonation and a very long finish. Overall, not bad. I would drink it again.

This one poured a medium brown with abeige head. Aroma was of lightly stale coffee and roastedmalts. Flavor was similar, more like burnt pretzels than coffee and a little mild. Not bad, but was expecting a little more from new glarus.
