COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hearty and satisfying, our Coffee Stout is the ultimate full-bodied brew. Wisconsin water, roasted malts, and imported hops are the natural ingredients we use to brew this bier. Then cold pressed organic coffee from Just Coffee Co-op is infused into the brew. Expect this bier to pour a deep creamy head over an ebony rich body. Notice the powerful malt bouquet balanced by a spectrum of extravagant flavor. Served at room temperature this Wisconsin Coffee Stout is guaranteed to warm even the coldest heart.

Bottle. Dark brown color with a foamy light brown head. Noteable coffee aroma but lacks depth and a large roasted malt base. Medium body for a stout with a sweet malty finish with coffee throughout.

Tasted at the brewery. Pours a dark brown black with a small tan head that dissipates quickly. The aroma is chocolaty and coffee like. The flavor is of coffee and lactic notes. The palate is light, almost too light. Overall, I like it as a Sweet Stout.

Deep brown, not totally opaque, thin but decent head. Aroma is faintly of roasted malt, very understated. Light bodied, semi-sweet chocolate flavors prevailing. Not noticing any actual coffee notes even, to my surprise. Prefer bigger flavors in my stouts, and fuller bodied as well. Thanks to wawood for the chance to try this!

Opaque, very dark brown color with a small beige head. Roasted coffee beans, lactose and bittersweet chocolate in the aroma. Rich bitter chocolate and coffee flavors, with a strong sour lactose aftertaste. The feel is a bit thinner than I would like.

Deep dark brown (opaque) with a small (quickly dissipating) head. The aroma was full of coffee, sour milk, and dark chocolate. The flavor was very full and complete...coffee, dark chocolate, bitter hops, and freshly cut grass (WTF!) with a sour lactic aftertaste. Crisp and light in body...medium dry finish.

Very dark brown to almost black color,small head that faded fast.The aroma definately hits the coffee note,roasted coffee and roasted malt very nice combo with maybe a bit of dark chocolate thrown in but i could be mistaken.Very light carbonation,but the flavor is great nice roasty malt chocolate and very well done coffee,slightly sweet and just plain damn good.I've never been a big coffee fan in fact you could say i hate it but in a brew i can't get enough.The after taste has a nice chocolate and coffee taste that lasts for some time.Definately a coffee drinkers dream, very light unoverpowering brew that is a nice addition to my tasting experience.Thanks go to Wawood for this brew.

This brew pours with a black body topped by a medium thick, creamy tan head with a good amount of lacing left behind. Wow, there is so much coffee in the nose, it's hard to believe they didn't actually add coffee to this beer. Malt, chocolate and a slight roastiness also fill the nose. The flavor is bitter sweet, malty and coffeeish with a note of chocolate and a very slight roastiness. This is a truly great stout. Full bodied and smooth.

Aroma is more chocolatety than coffee-like. Nothing overly ambitious in the nose. Fully opaque body with large light tan head that mostly diminishes. Excellent lace. Rich, dry flavor with some chalk notes and just the right amount of sweetness. A very good and worthy example of the Sweet Stout style. You've heard it a million times, and here's once more, it's not my favorite style, but I recognize it's quality. Finishes a little thin.

Quickly dissipating soapy head. Light-medium body. Slightly acidic coffee notes, not nearly enough. I didn't think Blue Mountain -- it was straight Sanka all the way. Weak palate, lingering coffee note...definitely not inspirational or one to seek out again.
