Commercial Description:
Copper Kettle Weiss is designed in the traditional style of a dark wheat beer. Rich malt flavors are accentuated through our complicated decoction mash and finally balanced with select Hallertau hops.

Everthing about this beer is great until you reach the finish. The aftertaste is a very unpleasant chalky bitter flavor. Drink Franziskaner.

Bottle from Styles. Hazy, murky orangish-red color. Very carbonated on opening. Nice whitish head never fades. Good lacing. Wheat malt in aroma, slight hints of clove. Medium bodied, with a softer felt carbonation than I would have expected. Malty, light spices in taste, bananna notes seem to be found towards the middle and finish. Light peppery feeling lingers pleasantly. Really pretty tasty and certainly worth a try.

12oz. bottle thanks to SS. Murky amber color with a nice long lasting off white head that left nice lacing. Fruity, yeasty aroma of banana, clove, melon and bubblegum. Clean refreshing taste with a slightly bitter finish. Clove, bubblegum, banana with a bit of nuttiness as well.

(Rating #796)

Bottle shared by sliffy or nolankowal. Pours an orangish yellow with a thin white head. This really smelled like bananas foster dessert there was so much banana in it. A little fruity and yeasty. The carbonation seemed a little tingly. Also a little vanilla wafer aroma.

Tasted at YeHA! 2006 in Montreal. App.: cloudy light orange. Aroma: nutty, a little yeasty, citrus and spice (and everything nice...), a few fruity esters. Palate: med. body and somewhat lively carbonation. Flav.: NUTTY, a bit of malt and citrus, a little sweet. Weird. A touch alcoholic. I like German Weizens, not so much this...

Beautiful amber body, high dense head. Sharp, dry, banana and lemon aroma with a bit of caramel malt. Spritzy carbonation, but a lush mouthfeel. Lots of yeastiness with a bit of sweet malt to balance. Quite dry, though.

Bottle from secret santa. Very spicy, peanut brittle aroma. Yeasty and pungent, dry. Flavor is blunt, spicy yeast, sourdough, wheat. Very tasty stuff. Deee-lish. I drank pretty much the whole before remember to rate it. Oops.
