valpoaj (288), Valparaiso, Indiana, USA Jul 5, 2008 From bottle...golden pour with a thin whitish head. Aroma is mostly sweet and grainy with some hop notes mixed in. Flavor is light sweet malt, yeast and some lemon accents mixed in...not complex, but very clean and well done. Very refreshing on the palate, this is a nice session beer from NG.
noncaloric (45), Madison, Wisconsin, USA Sep 6, 2008 Bottle, pilsner glass. Aroma of fresh hay. Pours pale gold, slightly hazy, very white head. Head is never thick but is nicely maintained by effervescence. In the mouth, hops are haylike and up-front. Malts are mealy and only somewhat sweet, like jonathan apple. Settles down towards a biscuity finish. There’s a tangy aftertaste, more grapefruit than metallic, that sticks around for a long time, and over the course of a glass becomes the dominant flavor. Mouthfeel principally of suds breaking on the tongue, with a slight puckering from the tang. mistersinalin (272), St. Paul, Minnesota, USA Sep 5, 2008 Summer! This is one of the most thrist quenching beers. Normally, pilsners aren’t my favorite, but this manages to be crisp and clean. Nice job NG! joekinty (208), rockledge, Florida, USA Sep 4, 2008 thanks homer taste yummy why cause it can who you do where in my belly what new glarus JMFG (1140), Florida, USA Sep 2, 2008 Bottle courtesy TheCheeseMan. Clear straw color, thin white head. Clean corny grain aroma with a moderate Saaz background. Taste is light and refreshing with a grassy hop finish. Palate a bit thin. NobleSquirrel (668), Chicago, Illinois, USA Sep 1, 2008 Bottle. Decent enough pilsener, far cry from a German pils, too sweet and not dry enough for that. Pretty generic with some decent sweet bread character. Alright, but not great.
