bottle - wow - a REALLY good nut brown ale! Normally brown ales do nothing for me - I’d almost rather drink a Yeungling than most brown ales. This one however was fantastic. Good malt body with notes of nuts and grains and just a hint of chocolate. Hops are a perfect balance to the malt and gives it a nice finish. This is probably my highest rated nut-brown ale ever.

Jul 22, 2008 Brown, ba-ba-brown-brown. I had this right after a Hop Hearty Ale and I wouldn’t recommend it. The maltiness of this beer could not be fully enjoyed because of this oversight. All in all a good brew, but I’ll need to try it again later.

Jul 22, 2008 Bottle. A malty, sweet brown ale, with a strong roasted malt aroma. Heavier than other brown ales.

Jul 22, 2008 Fat Squirrel was one of the best beers I have tried lately. Good head and carbonation. Just sweet enough not to be obnoxius. Wish I could get New Glarus all the time down in TN.

Jul 20, 2008 Gotta say I absolutely loved this one. Just one of those right beers at the right moment.
Pours a medium brown with a decent off white head. Sugary chocolate malt nose with a subtle roasted pecan nuttiness. Light to medium in body and very smooth on the palate. Sweet, but not overly so. Slightly hoppy finish makes this one nearly perfect.
