COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
100% Wisconsin malt of six different varieties impart the natural toasted color to the bottle conditioned unfiltered ale. Clean hazelnut notes result from these carefully chosen barley malts. Hops from Slovenia, Bavaria and the Pacific Northwest give Fat Squirrel its backbone.

Pours with little head, but an ubiquitous brown coloring makes this beer inviting. Little or no aroma detected. However, taste leaves something to be desired, as carbonation and nutty zing hits head on and can be overbearing. But then again, I am not the biggest fan of Brown Ales.

Bottle pours root beer color with thin, quickly dissipated head. Sarsaparilla and chicory on the nose, finishes soft with low bitterness. Overall, okay, just a little under carbonated.

Tasted on 1/3/12 from a capped 12oz bottle. Pours clear copper brown with a thin white head that leaves a thin collar of lace. The nose is lightly nutty with a hint of coffee and a soapy aroma. The flavor is nutty chocolate malt with some green bitterness and a metallic flavor. The body is medium with average carbonation and an average nutty chocolate finish.

Iím a bit bias on this beer. Iím an absolutely huge fan of new glarus. This beer is a bit nutty but a classic smooth new glarus taste iíve come to appreciate. always a treat when i can drink this.

Smells like your standard brown ale. Looks wonderfully brown with a light head on it. Good sweet malt flavor coupled with a slight bitter. Biscuit hits the nose after the swallow. Medium bodied with average carbonation, sits well with me!

12 oz. bottle pours a dark reddish/brown with small beige head that stays as a ring and leaves spots of lacing. Aroma is roasted malts, brown sugar, and hazelnut. Taste is slightly sweet with a slightly nutty finish and almost spicy aftertaste. Body is medium without much carbonation. Mouthfeel is almost creamy. Very satisfying. and it gets better as it warms up a bit.
