12 oz. bottle courtesy of Bockyhorsey - Pours a slightly hazy light golden color with a one finger thick off white head. Spotty lacing. Aroma is spicey, herbal hops and light grain. Flavor is lightly sweetened malt with a nice hop bitterness. Medium body. A very nice lager. Thanks Bill and Wendy.

Pours crystal clear light golden with a lingering head. Nice spicey hop aroma and flavor. All americans who think they know what a pilsener is, need to try the real thing!!
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Skyview (5023) - Papoose Jct, Minnesota, USA - JUL 11, 2007
Picked up single 12-oz bottle from Bob McFarland Liquors in McFarland, WI. Pours a clear golden pale blonde brew with a thin and fast dissolving white head. Aroma of muti-grain breakfast cereal, grassy hops, with a touch of honey. Taste is very high carbonated, light bodied with flavors of light multi-grain and some light peppery spice. Finish is a moderate hop bitter aftertaste that quickly disappears.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 muzzlehatch (4425) - Burlington, Vermont, USA - JUL 11, 2007
12 ounce bottle from Woodmans in Beloit, WI (June 2007) served just a few minutes out of the fridge from a Christoffel glass. A beautiful pour; big frothy, creamy head laces well as it decays above the dark gold/light amber clear body…..grassy, lightly sweet, lightly mineralic aroma (lime, chalk) is fresh enough but a bit subdued….the body is moderately sweet, a bit sticky at first but the juiciness makes me not care so much, drying out and getting quite bitter and hoppy at the finish, with a hint of dry woods and a touch of sulfur….quaffable enough, but far from this brewery’s best lager.
3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 sliffy (2037) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - JUL 10, 2007
Bottle: Pours a clear gold with a small white head. Aroma, not much, some light malts, and some grass. Flavor, light bready malts, some floral and herbal notes, citrus, toasty finish. Pretty tasty.

thanks badgerben! Not as tongue tickeling as the Surly ;0)...spicey and thin, little head and lacing, acidy finish.
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 Boutip (3979) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - JUL 9, 2007
Bottle courtesy from Monger: Poured a bright gold yellow color beer with a nice big pure white foamy head with good retention and good lacing. Aroma of floral malt with some dry crisp hops is quite enjoyable. Taste is also dominated by some floral malt with some light sweet notes and a medium dry crisp finish which is quite enjoyable. Body is full for the style with some good carbonation. Another very good beer from a great brewer from a style that produce too much crap IMO.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 boboski (1095) - Alabama, USA - JUL 8, 2007
UPDATED: JUL 11, 2007 Crystal clear, dry looking body. A heavily carbonated gold pour results in a fizzy, thin white head with decent retention. Noble hops clearly dominate and comprise the bulk of the aroma. Backing notes include lightly toasty grains, wet grass, raw cereal grains and wheat, flowers. The flavor is very accessible. Light to fleeting moderate hop bitterness, fresh and earthy grass notes and lightly sweet malts all combine for a gentle, fresh and quenching taste. Acidity is negligible. The palate is soft and somewhat fizzy. Finishes light, long and earthy/grassy, bitterness lingering in corners of the mouth. Well done, though not as exciting or as crisp as I’d envisioned.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 HogTownHarry (5653) - Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, CANADA - JUL 7, 2007
Bottle (12oz). Pours bright pure clear gold, decent quick-diminishing white head, some lacing. Smells like a nice, fresh, grassy pils - good moderately cereal grain body. Simple, soft and fresh pils flavour - light grain, some honey sweetness, soft grassy/floral hops in the lengthy lightly bitter finish. Decent body, good astringency (soft, soft), mild but adequate life, not an insistent flavour but it’s not shy - or a lawnmower beer. Just another solid beer from a brewery that usually "gets" it.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 chimpscampee (566) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - JUL 7, 2007
Above average pilsner. Faint spice notes and fruit. Well balanced but tame. Not as good as Capitol’s or Victory’s.
