COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Embrace a classic! Home Town Blonde is an old world style pilsner, assertively hopped with four premium hop varieties. Tettninger, Saaz, Styrian Golding and Strisselspalt varieties all grace this German-style brew with the complex character you enjoy in a classic pilsner. Expect to pour an elegant blonde glass of beer, crowned with a rich head of foam that resonates with our chorus of hops. Although delicate in appearance, our Hometown Blonde has a backbone, but of course that’s no surprise in Wisconsin. Enjoy!

Well hopped pilsner, a bit citric. A good session (or Packer game)brew.

Bottle pours a pale yellow with a small head, some lace. The aroma is malty and floral. Strong malt backbone, fruity, almost like rose water, and bittered to balance. The body is nice and rich. Overall, not my favorite, but still pretty good.

Poured yellow with small white head. Aroma of light hops and citrus. Nothing really to taste. Very watery with hints of hops and citrus.

12oz via trade with Robertsreatlity. Thanks for the Bonus Rob. Pours golden with a fading but semi stable fluffy white head. Nose is sweet and light and typical for a lager. Taste is slightly hoppy with a nice malt background. Lagerish but nice. This is an easy drinking session brew.

A classic pilsner that shows nice light notes of hops that follw into a crisp and balanced malt flavor on the finish.

Above average pilsner. Faint spice notes and fruit. Well balanced but tame. Not as good as Capitol’s or Victory’s.

UPDATED: JUL 11, 2007 Crystal clear, dry looking body. A heavily carbonated gold pour results in a fizzy, thin white head with decent retention. Noble hops clearly dominate and comprise the bulk of the aroma. Backing notes include lightly toasty grains, wet grass, raw cereal grains and wheat, flowers. The flavor is very accessible. Light to fleeting moderate hop bitterness, fresh and earthy grass notes and lightly sweet malts all combine for a gentle, fresh and quenching taste. Acidity is negligible. The palate is soft and somewhat fizzy. Finishes light, long and earthy/grassy, bitterness lingering in corners of the mouth. Well done, though not as exciting or as crisp as I’d envisioned.

12 ounce bottle from Woodmans in Beloit, WI (June 2007) served just a few minutes out of the fridge from a Christoffel glass. A beautiful pour; big frothy, creamy head laces well as it decays above the dark gold/light amber clear body…..grassy, lightly sweet, lightly mineralic aroma (lime, chalk) is fresh enough but a bit subdued….the body is moderately sweet, a bit sticky at first but the juiciness makes me not care so much, drying out and getting quite bitter and hoppy at the finish, with a hint of dry woods and a touch of sulfur….quaffable enough, but far from this brewery’s best lager.

Poured a real blonde with an aroma of flowery hops and some maltiness, maybe butterscotch notes. Taste is full of bitter hops with some clove accents and grass. Left a hoppy, bitter aftertaste, a very good representation of the style.

Bottle courtesy Bockyhorsey. Our was golde with a bit of amber hues mixed in there, nice initial white head, changes to thin covering, ring around the edge, spotty lacing. The aroma was herbal, grassy, grainy, wheaty bite? The flavor followed the aroma, a touch of mintiness in there too. A lot going on in this one, despite it being just a "blonde" ale. Mouthfeel wasn’t bad, full for a blonde.
