COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Embrace a classic! Home Town Blonde is an old world style pilsner, assertively hopped with four premium hop varieties. Tettninger, Saaz, Styrian Golding and Strisselspalt varieties all grace this German-style brew with the complex character you enjoy in a classic pilsner. Expect to pour an elegant blonde glass of beer, crowned with a rich head of foam that resonates with our chorus of hops. Although delicate in appearance, our Hometown Blonde has a backbone, but of course thatís no surprise in Wisconsin. Enjoy!

Itís been a while since Iíve rated but Iíve got three weeks to gorge in Wisconsin so here goes. Ar. Honey, grassy hops aroma. Ap. slightly foggy, not crystal clear by any means. Small head dissipates quickly. T. Lightly sweet bready, biscuit and moderate bitterness on finish. P. lightish sparkly body. Nice. Rally really nice pilsner.

UPDATED: MAR 1, 2003 A great beer, from a great brewery, which is from a great american city. Good carbonation, with flavor that was mostly sweet and hop like. Damn near fine brew from my guys in lill switzerland.

UPDATED: MAY 15, 2007 My previous rating really shows how much Iíve learned about beer. None the less this is a damn tasty brew. Easy to drink, "a boring beer made very well" as one of my friends put it...

12oz, 2007. Dan Carey told me this was his favorite easy drinking beer he made. Pours a clear golden with a one finger white head that fades to a film. Aroma of grassy and spicy hops, though the grass is dominant. There are some biscuits and some light fruitiness. Flavor adds a lemony orangey character, and I donít think itís the same type of fruitiness I got in the aroma. Grassy and spicy hops are back stronger in the flavor, though the grass in dominant. Grain and biscuits make up the backbone. Not a lot of bitterness here. Moderate creamy carbonation with a light to medium body. Very good and very refreshing.

Pours a clear golden color with a good sized white head that fades quickly. Slight lacing as the beer retracts in my glass. Aroma is of grass, light fruit and honey notes and some hop spiciness. Taste is grass, malt, light fruit, biscuit, and some light toasted grain. Perfectly carbonated with some slight dryness, this is a top notch pilsener.

Truly an outstanding drinking experience and to those who can get this beer at their local store I am jealous. This might be one of those "go-to" beers because it is outstanding in every way. An aroma of toffee, rich molasses, and brown sugar. Appearance was a deep brown, almost black body, with a very thin head. Flavor was really sweet, molasses and caramel do their best to hide an earthy character that was there. All that and it still has enough to show a dark fruit character that made it go from damn good to great. Excellent beer. A must have.

Big thanks to jarlbartar for bonusing me this tasty brew. 12oz bottle pours clear golden with white head. The aroma is crisp and lively with mild lemon, hints of hop spice and floral hops as well as sugary pale malts and hints of wheat. As it warms the faint hop aromas grow to more than a murmur. The taste starts sweet and malty and quickly turn into crisp a lemon twang (not all that tart or sour), hop spice and floral hops. Just like in the nose. The hop flavor seems to grow into the finish with a nice lingering floral hop sense and carries into the finish.
