COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Embrace a classic! Home Town Blonde is an old world style pilsner, assertively hopped with four premium hop varieties. Tettninger, Saaz, Styrian Golding and Strisselspalt varieties all grace this German-style brew with the complex character you enjoy in a classic pilsner. Expect to pour an elegant blonde glass of beer, crowned with a rich head of foam that resonates with our chorus of hops. Although delicate in appearance, our Hometown Blonde has a backbone, but of course that’s no surprise in Wisconsin. Enjoy!

Bottle. Pours clear gold with a awesome soapy white head that slowly fades to a sticky lacing and film. Aroma is grass malt and earthy hops. Taste is subtle citrus and lemongrass grain and malt with a nice bitterness of hops throughout. Palate is thin with a fizzy dry finish. Awesome summer brew.

Clear gold pour with a 3 finger, soapy, bright white head that has great retention and leaves nice lacing. Aroma is cereal, toast, light grainy sweetness, mineral notes, grassy, spicy, floral and light pine hops. Flavor is more toast, and cereal grain up front, some mineral and bready yeast, nice hop profile, complex and tasty, while still being complex, lots of floral notes, some spicy, a little grass (in a good way), light hints of grapefruit and pine and a nice toasty, lightly honey and malt sweetened hoppy, lightly bitter finish. Light body, with a nicely full, creamy entry, moderate strength, spritzy, but not too sharp carbonation and lightly dry, pleasantly crisp finish. Very tasty, refreshing, yet complex Pils.

12 oz bottle purchased as part of a mix a six at Festival in Onalaska, Wisconsin. No date markings on the bottle. The pour is a clear golden yellow with a frothy one inch white head. The aroma is soft natural hay, lemon citrus, floral, straw, and a pleasant cracker malt. Fresh and clean. The taste is the nose, clean cracker malt with straw and a nice dose of the lemon citrus floral. Nice blended character of the German hops. A touch of earthy mineral here as well. The palate is light bodied, active bright carbonation, dry mineral light bitter hop finish. Really nice take on a classic German style Pils. Right up my alley.

12 ounce bottle thanks to cbfobes. Thanks! Pours a lighter copper color with a white head of loosely packed foam. The aroma is floral and grassy, with an almost nutty character hidden beneath the pilsnery sweetness. The taste has a nice fruity sweetness with the dry grassyness of the german hops wrapping the beer up with great precision. This is one delicious pilsener. Thanks again, Brandon!

It’s been a while since I’ve rated but I’ve got three weeks to gorge in Wisconsin so here goes. Ar. Honey, grassy hops aroma. Ap. slightly foggy, not crystal clear by any means. Small head dissipates quickly. T. Lightly sweet bready, biscuit and moderate bitterness on finish. P. lightish sparkly body. Nice. Rally really nice pilsner.

UPDATED: MAR 1, 2003 A great beer, from a great brewery, which is from a great american city. Good carbonation, with flavor that was mostly sweet and hop like. Damn near fine brew from my guys in lill switzerland.

UPDATED: MAY 15, 2007 My previous rating really shows how much I’ve learned about beer. None the less this is a damn tasty brew. Easy to drink, "a boring beer made very well" as one of my friends put it...

12oz, 2007. Dan Carey told me this was his favorite easy drinking beer he made. Pours a clear golden with a one finger white head that fades to a film. Aroma of grassy and spicy hops, though the grass is dominant. There are some biscuits and some light fruitiness. Flavor adds a lemony orangey character, and I don’t think it’s the same type of fruitiness I got in the aroma. Grassy and spicy hops are back stronger in the flavor, though the grass in dominant. Grain and biscuits make up the backbone. Not a lot of bitterness here. Moderate creamy carbonation with a light to medium body. Very good and very refreshing.
