COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Embrace a classic! Home Town Blonde is an old world style pilsner, assertively hopped with four premium hop varieties. Tettninger, Saaz, Styrian Golding and Strisselspalt varieties all grace this German-style brew with the complex character you enjoy in a classic pilsner. Expect to pour an elegant blonde glass of beer, crowned with a rich head of foam that resonates with our chorus of hops. Although delicate in appearance, our Hometown Blonde has a backbone, but of course that’s no surprise in Wisconsin. Enjoy!

Pours a clear, pale golden yellow. Smallish head. Grassy, floral aromas. Flavor is very typical of a good German pilsner. Flavor is very grassy, with some resinous notes. Very clean finish and mouthfeel. This is a great example of a pilsner--as with most styles Dan takes on, he delivers nothing but a sterling example.

Bottle. Pours golden with white head. Nose has biscuits, aromatic floral notes of noble hops. Soft carbonation and some mineral texture in the palate. Very clean and balanced flavor profile - breadiness, light herbal notes, just a touch of bitterness in the finish. Excellent German-style pilsner - perhaps the best US rendition I’ve had.

Pour out of 12 oz bottle, clear yellow pour with white head, aroma brought notes of biscuit, bread, lemon, some grass, spice, ncie vanilla, earthy tones in there. Taste is a mix of grassy, earthy, doughy yeast, some bread, biscuit, vanilla, touch of herbs, finishing bitter, dry. Tasty and chuggable, NGs specialty.

Sample pour at the Great Taste of the Midwest. Served out of a cool looking upright barrel cask thing by Dan Cary himself. Clear yellow pour with a white head. Nice crisp old school hop profile. Refreshing!

Pours a nice clear golden color with white head. Come floral notes on the aroma, with grass and citrus on the palate. Not overly complex.

Bottle:   Bright straw yet hazy, small to moderate white frothy head, spotty lacing.   Clean straw/hay on the nose.   A little grassy.   Much the same on the tongue.   Light dryness.   Very smooth and clean, albeit very light too.   I suppose that’s to be expected.   If this is a spring seasonal, its amazing how well it held up.   Tastes fresh.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   A little wheaty profile on the exit, lingering straw and hay.   Touch of sweetness too.   Very simple, clean, and well made.   Thanks Bob!

12 oz bottle served in a COAST brewing curved pint. Split with the fiancee. A: Pours a solid gold color with a pure white head forming on pour. It recedes slowly to a thick cap with tons of sticky lace. S: Sticky German hops with that specific spicy bite. Pale malts with a little bit of mineral-like qualities to it. T: Typical German hop profile, slightly gluey with pale cracker malt and some wheat like qualities. Lightly spiced hop quality as well. M: Light bodied with a medium high carbonation level. Slightly sweet finish. O: Pretty typical German style lager. The hops are the star which is standard for the style. Nothing mind blowing. Serving type: bottle

12 oz. bottle. Pours a thick, well retained, white head, with some lacing, over a slightly hazy dark yellow (SRM 4) body......nose is slightly sweet, with hints of apple, pear, light cereal....taste is slightly sweet, with hints of pear, apple, finishing with a moderate hop bitterness.....mouth feel light of medium, carbonation high. This is a sweet Pilsner. I wonder if they got the attenuation they wanted. The finishing taste is muddled, and not crisp and clean. BJCP 7/3/12/4/6

12oz bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a lightly cloudy dark gold with a half finger of white head. Aroma is mostly grass and hay with just a hint of citrus. Taste is light bitter. Grassy and herbal. Light bodied with a somewhat thin texture. Lively carbonation and a decently long finish. Overall, not too bad. Not one of my favorites but very drinkable.
