jebert (110), Watertown, Wisconsin, USA Aug 27, 2008 Pours a beautiful reddish copper color with a moderate light tan head. Hops dominate the nose. Mouthfeel is creamy and taste is flavorfull hoppy delight with a note of carmel. Not overly bitter, this is a classic IPA. Balances well with meals of ribs, chops or steak. mabel (2530), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 21, 2008 [1591-20080816] 12floz bottle. Mossy peat malt aroma has mild mouldy wet wood hints. Clear, golden amber body with quick creamy white bubbles. Bitter fruity flavour has a citrus background. Medium body. Really interesting!
(@ Cole’s IPA Festival; Buffalo, NY; c/o swoopjones) lweiberg (89), Eagan, Minnesota, USA Aug 19, 2008 I had 3/4 of one of these after eating two cheeseburgers and a chocolate chip cookie at my work’s summer picnic yesterday, and afterward, feeling bloated and lethargic, I played volleyball with my co-workers and we won the tournament. The beer had nothing to do with our victory, but it tasted really good, was very easy to drink but not too hop heavy or dank. Would be nice to have a few of these on hand in the summer heat. jerc (3861), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 19, 2008 2008-08-16. Crisp amber body, modest foamy beige head. (3+) Pleasant hoppy aroma, well blended, light resin and citrus. (7+) Similar flavour, moderate bitterness throughout, resin and bitterness. (7+) Average palate suits the beer nicely. Unassuming but lovely, probably would have stuck out more on a day without a bunch of other hoppy brews. Bottle, Coles IPA Festival,

swoopjones (1862), Buffalo, New York, USA Aug 18, 2008 Bottle @ Coles 4th IPA tasting. Amber orange color. Nose is loaded with malts with medium piney hops. Medium bodied decent IPA. Thanks Metzger hopson (591), Williamsville, New York, USA Aug 18, 2008 bottle- nicely done ipa with a great citric pine taste. smooth and refreshing while not over doing the hop bite. a very drinkable and thirst quenching ipa. shintriad (698), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 13, 2008 Rich amber with small head, thin sheet of lacing. Definitely one of the neatest-smelling IPAs I’ve come across. It’s actually overkill. A unique combo: lemony detergent, flower, hemp, a bright berries -- almost like cheap Halloween candy. Taste is more subdued with dry, earthy flavours, solid malts with just enough bitterness to let you know what you’re dealing with. A fine specimen. cblado (146), Wisconsin, USA Aug 5, 2008 12 oz bottle. Poured a hazy amber color, good lacing. Significant off-white head. Aroma was pleasantly hoppy, with some citrus and grassy notes. There was also some malt aroma. Flavor was characterized by crisp, bitter hops and distinct caramel malt undertones, as well as some grassy notes. A very good IPA.
