| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 6, 2007 Courtesy of Gillard. Pours a clear copper with nice tan head. Big aroma with grapefruit hops and an even flow of sweet caramelized maltiness. Grapefruit hops hit in the flavor first followed by roasty malts and caramel malts. There’s a mild toffee note that draws toward butterscotch. Nice mix of malts and hops. jvmiller (532), Bel Air, Maryland, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 27, 2007 Bottle. Pours very hazy amber with almost no head. Aroma of citrus, pepper and earthy malt. Rich hop taste with a big malt background, taste like oats after the hops up front. Nice and earthy aftertaste. Interesting take on the IPA, I’m used to the west coast hop bombs, this is nice and balanced. Good stuff.
