Stine (1380), St. Paul, Minnesota, USA Jan 25, 2007 Updated: Aug 30, 2007The pour is really dark, reddish amber in color. All in all a very subdued version. Caramel, biscuits, grapefruit aromas. Very smooth fruity flavor of lime and bitter pear skin. Light toasty malt flavor constructs a healthy foundation underneath. Like a well made rendition of British IPA. ross (1709), weddington, South Carolina, USA Jan 12, 2007 Bottle from Ryan. Thanks. Pours out a dark orange color with a yellowish colored head. Smell is hops, malts, some sweet caramel flavors, and you can definately smell and taste the cascades in this beer. Taste is hoppy and smooth, with some nice grassy notes and a little bit of grapefruits. A nice, decent easy drinking IPA. moejuck (1165), Ohio, USA Jan 9, 2007 Light floral hop aroma. Classic golden brown with a nice frothy head. Medium palate with a very smooth mouthfeel. Light malts witha good hop balance. Nothing overpowering at all--which is nice for a change. Very solid and enjoyable. spector (906), Lancaster, Ohio, USA Jan 6, 2007 Lots of piney hops in the aroma.Pours dark copper with a large white head.Light hops and light malt are in the flavors.A little thin with some faint hops in the finish. hellomynameis (794), Mayer, Minnesota, USA Jan 4, 2007 Orange with a mostly white head on top. Flower hop aromas. The flavour is malty with a pronounced bitterness with a pepper like spice note. JoshuaB (422), Detroit, Michigan, USA Jan 2, 2007 Like most of their offerings, this one is mediocre at best. Highly filtered, poured a standard copper amber. Nose is of some cascades and oranges. Pepper. Malts are dirty and earthy, or maybe that is the goldings. Whatever it is, it tastes more like a British IPA. I loathe Wisconsin. Magjayran (1379), Durham, North Carolina, USA Dec 30, 2006 Pours an orangey/amber color with a thick white head. Great lacing. Smells like wonderful sauce....by that I mean it’s got a nice bright piney aroma. The flavor is fully of floral hop bitterness. A little pine. A lotta bitter. Interesting combination of some earthier euro hop tastes to compliment the Cascade. Good stuff. pantani (1895), Salinas, California, USA Dec 30, 2006 Amber with a thin tan head, and aroma is hoppy with caramel, and orange zest. Taste is of caramel, pretty malty with some toffee. and is a bit nutty tasting.
