Aromas of spicy hops, pine, oranges and lemons. A bit of malt in there, but this one is heavy on the hops and smells very fresh. Heavy hops in the flavor, but this time the malt is more pronounced and balances things out. Oily palate, some grain and chalkiness in there also. Good carbonation. Finish is bitter and spicy, appropriate to style. Medium bodied. A very good IPA. Jmichael (633), Asheville, North Carolina, USA

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | Aug 7, 2005 Pours amber with a large white head that stays. Aroma has that sharp fresh aroma that clings to the inside of your nose like you are sniffing a handful of fresh hops, citrusy and earthy. Flavor of fresh citrusy and earthy hops, a slight light fruitiness, and a clean slighty toasty maltiness. The fresh hoppiness is a mixed blessing bringing vibrant hop flavors but also some dry slightly harsh grassiness. Medium body. Perfect balance until the finish and then a rising bitterness in the aftertaste. joebrew (608), Farewell Minny; Hello Puyallup, Washington, USA

Noticeable hop presence on the nose, but not overwhelmingly strong. Light citrus with a touch of grassiness. Nice full floral nose with hints sweetness that originates from the light citrus. A nice IPA, from a great brewery.
