orville (141), Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, USA Nov 9, 2006 Updated: Oct 29, 2007Took me a long time to try this beer because I have spent my life hating spotted cow, belgian red (yes, belgian red), and the offensively bland Naked lager, but this was a life altering beer. Its a true masterpiece of the IPA style. badbeer (413), Iowa, USA Dec 23, 2007 Beer pours an amber color with a rich creamy head, lacing lasts throughout. Strong hop aroma as you would expect, the smell lures you right into the beer. Taste is of hops and almost perfectly so. Mouthfeel, seems just about right, I do not know what could make it better. Drinkability is definately high, an evening of these would be almost unimaginably good. Yum. Joebeer (8), USA does not count May 3, 2003 Damn right it's Hearty! Fine amber color, highly carbonated, without a huge head. Massive grapefuit-like flavors dominate courtesy of the Cascades. Nicely rounded malt shows through as well. HopsOrDie (687), New Lenox, Illinois, USA Aug 3, 2005 The minute you open this one it is screaming with hops. Pours a very clear light orange color with a solid off white head that stays throughout the drink. A lot of hop flavor up front with a very balanced back end heavy in malt and hop bitterness. Not very heavy but more refreshing with a lot of flavor and bitterness in one. This is what IPA’s should be modelled after. Falconseye8 (522), Cartersville, Georgia, USA Apr 27, 2006 My neighbor picked this one up for me on his last trip to Wisconsin. Awesome IPA!!! Great Flavor, excellent Top 5 IPA!! Amber color, awesome beer. I will have to pace myself so I can enjoy every single bottle!!!
