Falconseye8 (522), Cartersville, Georgia, USA Apr 27, 2006 My neighbor picked this one up for me on his last trip to Wisconsin. Awesome IPA!!! Great Flavor, excellent Top 5 IPA!! Amber color, awesome beer. I will have to pace myself so I can enjoy every single bottle!!!
kosko20 (143), Bemidji, Minnesota, USA Sep 22, 2008 MMmmmm hops. Aroma hops: grapefruit, citrus, pine. Caramel malt background as well. Pour is dark copper with thick, off white head. Flavor is well balanced of hops and caramel malts. Palate is bitter and mildly spicy. Very well crafted brew. I wish NG would get more recognition around the country! sebletitje (372), Tampa, Florida, USA Sep 8, 2008 Courtesy of Gillard.
Pours amber with medium white head.
Lightly hoppy, some caramel malts, good amount of floral / herbal hops, lightly bitter, but remains very smooth from start to finish. grandridge (160), Port Clinton, Ohio, USA Sep 7, 2008 Solid IPA from New Glarus. Pours deep amber with a slight cloudiness from the sediment and some carbonation. Aroma is hops, the dry hopping makes this a wonderfully fragrant IPA. Flavor is lighte inr hops than the aroma leads you to believe but I like the whole aroma of a hop monster with the flavor of an IPA thing that New Glarus pulls off with this brew. People want more hops but that would make it an impy IPA. This one is up there with the best in the style. noncaloric (111), Madison, Wisconsin, USA Sep 7, 2008 Bottle, tulip. Aromas of malt and citrus hops. Cloudy amber pour, like unclarified honey, enormous off-white leaves plenty of lace once it settles down. Grapefruit hops and caramel are well harmonized here. Pleasant bittersweet citrus aftertaste. Very smooth, creamy caramel on the palate. Way too easy to quickly finish. moelikebeer (140), New Brighton, Minnesota, USA Sep 3, 2008 Bottle. Fairly clear golden amber pour with a lot of sediment. Aroma of herbal hops and some sweet maltiness. Similar flavor. Lighter hops than I was expecting. Somewhat disappointing.
