3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Clear ruby red color with a thick creamy head. Aroma of bananas and vinegar. Taste is sweet and full of caramelized bananas. Mouth is medium bodied. Some vanilla in there too. Nice beer.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Strong cinnamon and clove notes. Tastes very spices but then finishes like a crisp malty hefeweizen. Unique and excellent offering.

3.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pop cloves and woody banana with a nutmeg earthiness. Creamy mouthfeel with surprisingly conditioned like carbonation. Malts are present but yeast wins this battle. Finish is complex and changing. Unique beer worth trying.

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Thanks to iNBe for this. Captures the qualities of a hefeweizen unlike some other kristallweizens. In addition to banana and clove there is some toffee. Serving: Bottle

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
clear dark amber body, small white head.
soured grains and old, stale corn kernels in the nose.
touches of burnt leaves and milk and black pepper.
watery texturel; thin, light body.
seems like a sour mash wheat, honestly.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Bummer, this wasn’t so good. New Glarus, I love you but you’re bringing me down. Clear amber pour with a light white head. Some lacing. Nose is banana and brown sugar. Sort of a weird hefe/dubbel taste to me. One of the few NG beers I haven’t been all over. Thanks to CanIHave4Beers for the awesome hook-up.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottle shared by durhambeer. Thanks Bob! This was a rare miss by NG for me. Mostly bananas and bubblegum from what I remember, sweetness kinda takes over and it drinks almost like a watery dunkel though the malt character is only noticeable as sweetness.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Had the light mahogony/orange color of an IPA, with a very full off white head. Aroma of cherries, pine, cloves. Very light bodied, and fizzy. Nice zippy entry, malty middle and long smooth finish. Really not a lot of flavor though, and no hops flavor, nor was it very yeasty like the hefewiess style. It seemed to me most like a Radler style, watered down and undergunned. Refreshing, easy drink wheat, just not very flavorfull.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a clear medium amber color with a good foamy off-white head. Foamy head fades quick, but leaves some nice lacing behind. The aroma is sweet and malty with a bit of clove spice and dried fruits. The flavor is sweet, malty and fruity. A very nice Kristal Weiss beer.
