Moon Man is a seriously cool cat. Always comfortable in his own skin, he never tries too hard. So cool we named our "no coast" pale ale after him. You hold a session beer with a bright bold blend of five hops that flirt obligingly with the smooth malty backside. Donít let this one lay around it is brewed to be enjoyed today. Bold and engaging without pretense, because in Wisconsin you do not have to be extreme to be real. Just be.

Serving: Bottle. It pours solid gold with a small white head. Great nose full of herbal hops and tropical fruit. Light malt flavor to pair with the great hop notes and no overly aggressive bitterness. Wow. Well made.

Bottle pour. Thanks Frank. Pours a cloudy golden color with a lasting head throughout. A mild, faint malty aroma with a bit of pine. This beer was a tad off putting for me at first but it grew a ton as I went through it. Really dense pale ale with a creamy, hop filled finish. Will definitely try this one again. Overall, good beer here.

Iíve been drinking Spotted Cow for years but only recently have I tried other New Glarus varieties. Moon Man is amongst my new favorities. For an IPA it has just the right amount of bitterness. If you find your way to Wisconsin then give this a try, you wonít be disappointed

Bottle shared by Eric. Aroma is zesty citrus and ripe flowers. Pours light blonde with nice fizz and a small fizzy head. Taste is lemon zest, fresh cut grass, and a light thanksgiving biscuit. Mouthfeel is zesty, zippy and clean. Nice pale ale.

Bottle gift from a neighbors visit back home in Wisconsin. The aroma consists of light orange, peach, lemon, and a touch of grapefruit. It pours a transparent golden-orange with a one finger white head. The flavor starts with a quick dose of citrus with just a hint of peach, the finish has light grapefruit with a touch of lemon/lemon peel. It’s light bodied with light-moderate carbonation. Overall, this pale ale is quite good.

Got this in a recent BIF package. 12oz bottle poured into a standard pint.

A - Pours pale yellow with a nice fluffy half finger white head, dissipating to a light film, leaving light, spotty, lacing down the glass.

S - Lots of citric hops up front, bordering on fruit like. Some lemon zest and a bit of grapefruit come thru as it begins to warm. A touch of caramel sweetness helps keep things balanced. A very floral, clean, APA.

T - Flavors are much more balanced compared to the nose. Still plenty of citrus hops up front with more caramel malt and breadiness coming thru toward the middle. A touch too dry in the finish for my liking. I really liked this one but it was nothing earth shattering.

M - Light body and flavor with moderate carbonation. Crisp, dry finish with a lingering mix of hop bitterness and some breadiness.

D - Pretty high. Being only 5% I could have quite a few too many of these if it werenít for the dryness as I think it would get to me over time. Still a very nice APA.
