COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Moon Man is a seriously cool cat. Always comfortable in his own skin, he never tries too hard. So cool we named our "no coast" pale ale after him. You hold a session beer with a bright bold blend of five hops that flirt obligingly with the smooth malty backside. Don’t let this one lay around it is brewed to be enjoyed today. Bold and engaging without pretense, because in Wisconsin you do not have to be extreme to be real. Just be.

Citrus, hops, and a bit of a skunky aroma. Pours a yellow-honey color with lacy white head. Citrusy, hoppy, and crisp, this pale ale is a solid session beer. Just mowed my lawn and this one is even tastier than normal.

From a bottle thanks to Jay (fear025). Very light gold, clear with minimal head and little lacing. Aroma is light floral hops and citrus. Tastes light and slightly bitter. Very nice light palate, with a bit of lingering bitterness at the end. Very nice indeed.

12oz bottle, thanks to darklordlager for hooking me up with this beer. Clear golden pour with a frothy white head, it’s a nice looking brew. It has a lightly hoppy flavor, with some nice citrus notes and finishes w/ a smooth malt balance. As New Glarus notes, this is a session beer and a very nice one indeed.

12oz bottle from New Glarus brewery. Poured clear and golden with nice floral and piney hop notes. Aroma was more present than the taste citrus, grass, and other tropical flavors. Minimal bitterness that lingered a bit. I wish I would have had this on a hot summer afternoon. Very refreshing.

On tap at their oktoberfest celebration at the brewery. ..Aroma is very hoppy and notes of pineapple. The appearance is clear, light color, and a dash of amber app. There is no malt, but heavy hop presnsence. Aftertaste is crisp, clean, and refreshing. Touch of pineapple on the palate. Resembles an IPA in all respects. Great name for the brew.

Gold pour with white head and lace. Aroma is dominated by resiny hops. Flat dry malt flavor with a hint of bitter. Medium bodied with smooth carbonation. Just not what I hoped for.

Bottle. Translucent straw-orange body, medium tight off-white head. Soapy, grassy hops nose with citrus notes. Nice spicy hops body, floral and piny, with biscuity malts and a biting, bitter finish. Clean and assertive, a tasty session pale ale.

UPDATED: NOV 25, 2010 On draught at Bodega Brew Pub in La Crosse. This brew is a clear orange color with a medium thin off-white head that dissipates to a film steadily. Short strings of lacing on the glass. Mild hops and sweet malt in the nose. Medium body with flavors of grassy hops, citrus and malt. The finish is hoppy with a lingering citrus aftertaste. Decent APA overall.

12oz bottle picked up at the Historic Casanova Liquors in Hudson, WI on my way back from Minneapolis. Pours a crystal clear, golden-yellow colored body with a finger-width, fizzy and frothy, white head that dissipates slowly and leaves a nice lacing throughout. Aroma is fresh citrus rinds with some zesty grass, resins, tropical fruits, and florals that all blend nicely with a sweeter pale malt backing and a touch of caramel and honey. Flavor doesn’t give off that same feel, but is still fresh and zesty. Hoppy with a mix of grass and florals. Some citrus, more distinct grapefruit, a bit of lemon, and a hint of tropical fruit. Malts are nice with a light, pale sweetness and a touch of caramel. Finishes mostly dry with some juicy citrus, light resins, grass, and a light floral malt sweetness that gives of a medium-light bitterness. Medium length aftertaste following a light, smooth body and soft, moderate carbonation. Overall, a nicely done pale ale. Well balanced with a good amount of hops and a pleasant, light malt sweetness. Really quaffable, fresh, and tasty.
