COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Moon Man is a seriously cool cat. Always comfortable in his own skin, he never tries too hard. So cool we named our "no coast" pale ale after him. You hold a session beer with a bright bold blend of five hops that flirt obligingly with the smooth malty backside. Don’t let this one lay around it is brewed to be enjoyed today. Bold and engaging without pretense, because in Wisconsin you do not have to be extreme to be real. Just be.

Appearance: clear straws and golds. Little to no lace though she lingers with a white collar after the head settles into a thick bready blanket.
Nose: husky; reminds me of crackers and toast, whole grain please, crispy and crunchy. Gentle greenness in the back of hop leaves and lime skin oils. Lemon and grapefruit skins join the fray before going right back to the husked grains; of the field. Crispy crunch and greenness balance each other.
Palate: toasty up front and citrusy in the back. Green hop leaves, green grass blades, and the essence of lime, lemon, and grapefruit skins. Gentle current of sweetness underneath; honeycomb. Hay and wheat crust, whole grains husked. Lime sweetness dapples atop the tongue before finishing with a zap of zest. Honeyed wheat.
Final Thoughts: complex and simple at the same time. Malt to please the malthead and hops to please the hophead without either one dominating the other. A brew to enjoy in the fields or with some fresh bread and creamy cheeses.

Bottle [12oz] shared with HogTownHarry & garthicus -- c/o HogTownHarry. Pours a slightly hazy gold with little floaties and an average size diminishing frothy off-white head. Nice aroma of citrus fruit and floral hops. Slightly watery flavour of Pale Malt, floral hops and citrus. Decent bitter finish. Average bodied. A good Pale Ale.

A nice crisp citrusy IPA. I got some biscuity-ness from this beer. Overall, a nicely done IPA.

12 oz. bottle, first of my "find nice things to say about Packer Country" beers. Sorta kidding, my schedule may not even let get to the Hinterland beers from Green Bay. This one pours a light amber color, at the pale end of the pale ale spectrum. Big rocky head. Must be a fresh bottle, cause this has a big, grassy green hop smell to it. Amarillos right up front, followed by the rest of the Pacific Northwest crew. Taste is a little light, though, considering the big buildup from the nose. Hops are there, just fine, but the mouthfeel is a little thin. But I didn’t say "stop," you’ll notice. At 5% and a goal of being sessionable, the malt is not going to be as big and sticky as the hops, so they’ll have trouble keeping up. What I end up with is something a hop-head might want just one of before driving home in this sleet-storm outside right now.

Thanks to RBlaszak for sending this bottle to me. Always glad to try new beers from New Glarus. The beer pours a clear golden color with a white head. The aroma is classic pale ale. I get a lot of caramel malt, but there is also a good amount of hops - pine and grass. I also get a little bit of cocoa in the aroma which is very nice. The flavor is heavy on the grassy hops and the toffee malt. Both aspects work very well together and lead to a very balanced, very drinkable pale ale. Low bitterness. This is the flavor profile that I want in an American Pale Ale. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

Pours a hazy golden yellow; one finger white head. Aroma is bursting with citrus hops and a bit of pine; smell drops off a bit following the bold olfactory assault, offering a light grassy, piny hop bitterness to contrast with bready, caramel malts. Light body with moderate carbonation and a dry finish.

12 ounce bottle sample- slightly murky light tangerine in colour with minimal head, some sticky lacing. Nose- floral hops. Taste- moderate hopping - tropical fruit , lemon and floral. Light biscuit malts in the background. Spritzy carbonation and nice drinkability. A good quaffer.

bottle on 7/12/10. pale orange colored pour topped with a white filmy head. it smells kinda like furniture polish.... in a good way... orange, florals and pine mixed with spicy hops and caramel malt sweetness. the flavor is the aforementioned plus lemon, citrus pith and spice with a dry earthy finish. medium bodied, crisp and terribly sessionable. also, it makes the inside of my mouth tingly. 8/3/8/4/16/3.9
