COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Moon Man is a seriously cool cat. Always comfortable in his own skin, he never tries too hard. So cool we named our "no coast" pale ale after him. You hold a session beer with a bright bold blend of five hops that flirt obligingly with the smooth malty backside. Donít let this one lay around it is brewed to be enjoyed today. Bold and engaging without pretense, because in Wisconsin you do not have to be extreme to be real. Just be.

A real deal APA that is of sessionable strength and very good. Fruity crisp and clean. Moderate bitterness with a floral finish.

Bottle. Poured into my Lakefront Brewery pint glass pours a clear golden amber color with a small bubbled white head. The aroma of hops is really apparent, not overly piney or citrus but a nice balance slightly leaning toward citrus and lemon. Medium/light mouthfeel. Nice balance between sweet my and hop bitterness. Nice lace on the glass. If I was lookin for a really hoppy apa then I would grab something different but the best thing about this beer is the drinkability. At 5% too, this is a really nice sessionable beer.

12oz Bottle. Nice minty, lemony, and C-hop aroma. A bit of orange and spice. Enjoyable. Pours the darker side of golden, with a finger of soapy coarse off-white head. Flavors seem a little thin. Thereís some juicy hop flavor, a touch of toothy grain, and some respectable citrus. Iím really digging the dry, drinkability of this pale ale. I think it could use a touch more flavor density, but otherwise this makes a fine quaffable ale.

Bottle thanks to Kevin. Pours a clear golden color with a medium white head. A hoppy citrus and biscuit nose. A smooth hops filled citrus flavor, some biscuit, honey, enjoyable.

A solid pour into my 25cl tulip glass produces a four finger thick, pale tan colored head. The beer is a bright gold color that shows a brilliantly clear, rich gold hue with copper highlights when held up to the light. Ooh, nice, this has a nice dank hoppiness to it that reminds me of a mix of citrus and hemp oils; fruity and dank with notes of menthol, some peppery tobacco, lots of herbaceous character, ruby red grapefruit zest, ripe tangelos, lychee and kumquat zest all play a prominent role. The hemp like and herbal notes are the dominant character here, but it is nicely supported by the hop fruitiness. If you really focus on the nose for a while and take it in the hop fruit notes become the dominant character though and the malt is purely a supporting role in the nose as I really donít smell its presence at all.

Lightly bitter up front, the beer gets more bitter as it moves across the tongue, but it never gets abrasive; the bitterness is appropriate for a standard Pale Ale. The hop flavor on the other hand is nicely present, much more so than I was expecting before I popped the cap off this brew, but because the beer is so dry the hop flavors are actually muted quite a bit from what I got out of the nose. An ample carbonation adds some nice liveliness to this brew; this is certainly a beer meant for quaffing large quantities of and I would gladly do so. The fruitiness of the hops really isnít as pronounced as I might have hopped, but this is definitely due to how dry this beer is, and I like that quality so I canít really complain too much. Light notes of Meyer lemon zest, some tart lychee notes and a touch of tangelo play a secondary role to the bitterness and the herbal hop qualities of hemp seed, a touch of menthol, some peppery spice hop character and just a noticeable, but clean, herbal note that tends to linger on the palate. The malt clearly plays a supporting role, but does contribute a touch of biscuit / cracker character to the finish.

This is a very nice beer; I really like how drinkable and light it is, but I could wish for some more fruit-laden hop character here. I really like the aroma of this brew, if the taste had followed suit it would have been heaven.

Citrus, hops, and a bit of a skunky aroma. Pours a yellow-honey color with lacy white head. Citrusy, hoppy, and crisp, this pale ale is a solid session beer. Just mowed my lawn and this one is even tastier than normal.

12oz bottle, thanks to darklordlager for hooking me up with this beer. Clear golden pour with a frothy white head, itís a nice looking brew. It has a lightly hoppy flavor, with some nice citrus notes and finishes w/ a smooth malt balance. As New Glarus notes, this is a session beer and a very nice one indeed.
