3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a beautiful golden color with a large white foamy head. Nose is all hops with a hint of spices. Creamy on the palate, this pale ale is all about the hops (5 different types) with just a touch of exotic spices. An excellent session beer that accompanies rye crackers with cucumber dill spread extremely well.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: APR 29, 2012 Poured from bottle, pours a clear golden color with white fluffy head, actually has more hop aroma to it than I was expecting, has a nice fruity and hoppy flavor to it, very crisp and clean, very nice offering from New Glarus.

Bottle. Poured a clear gold with a white head that dissipated slowly to the edges and laced just a bit. Aroma was a bit malty with cereal and bread notes, but there was a pleasant balancing light pine hop and just a hint of citrus. Flavor began with light pine with a slight hint of citrus but they both mellow and the finish showcases the bread and cereal notes more.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Poured a clear light gold color. The head was thick, fluffy, and white with good retention and lacing. I smelled citrusy hop, pale malt, and a hint of pine. Light to medium bodied and delicately sweet up front. Minimal bitterness emerged at the end. Citrus and pine hop flavors served on a bed of pale malt. There was also a hint of pineapple.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Super APA. Heavy citrus, some pine in nose, not a lot of malt qualities in nose. But plenty in the palate, dough, biscuits, + citrus + pine, really nice balance, tasty. Dry finish.

A-pours a transparent pale golden color with a creamy white head that leaves a solid lacing.
S-big hops in the nose, crystal and pale malts lay a subtle foundation, hint of caramel, resignous piney hops take over, a fair amount of citrus as well.
T-the taste follows the nose, crystal and pale malts, a fair bit of citrus and pine, a little soapy in the back with a light bitterness in the finish. slightly watery but still pretty full flavors.
M-smooth, medium to full body, creamy, a little syrupy on the palate, moderate to light carbonation, not quite enough to balance.
D-this is a very tasty pale ale, it has a good hop presence with enough malt to balance, very good feel, just lacking a little bit of carbonation. nice balance with the bitterness, light but still present. very good!

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Aroma of malt, fruit and hops. On tap @ New Glarus with a nice lace with maintanence. Taste of malt with fairly moderate to strong hop backbone. Overall a nice brew but too hoppy for my taste.

Bottle-New Glarus rarely disapoints and this one for sure was a win! Clean golden hue with a small fizzy white head. you can tell from the apperance that this is not going to be a malty brew due to its light look. nose of tropical hops, lite sugary notes, lemon, pineapple and faint white grapes-man i love those Nelson Saluvin hops!!! Flavors show the white grape note more than in the nose alongside tangerine, lemon-very hoppy without being bitter at all. just over all great hop flavors. beautiful palate-lite and crips! I could session this beer for days! I would call this more a golden ale with alot of hops due to its lack of real malt base. short finish, which was the only thing that brought the beer down (well it didnt really)-lite white grapes with some lemon zest. A fantastic little beer from one of my favs!
