Thanks to Pjones6738 for this one. I am still not very familiar with Alts but this was pretty good. Nice dark amber with a thin light beige head and some effervescence. Malt and caramel in the nose. Lighter flavor than the deep dark color implies, consisting of malt and caramel (again) with a slight roasted finish. I would have enjoyed this a lot more if it were a little more rich.

Very mellow maltiness with a soft roasted finish. Slight nutty flavor, but overall smooth and easy drinking.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Deep dark amber color with a smaller light tan head. Aroma of dry specialty malts, with a touch of nuttiness. Slight malt sweetness with a dark malt backbone. Flavors are not overly pronounced, but very well balanced. Very alt like. Light coffee, cocoa, hazelnut, and dark toffee. Finishes very clean with a dark malt aftertaste begging for another sip. Nice new addition, now if they would only bring back their Cabin Fever Double.

Dark brown beer, somewhat cloudy. Good lace. Definate coffee flavoring, a bit of something sweeter too, maybe chocolate or caramel? Nice new beer from the folks in New Glarus.
