baseballguy (246), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA Dec 22, 2002 A fair maibock, but it lacks a certain je ne sais quoi.
prosqtor (408), Appleton, Wisconsin, USA Aug 8, 2007 This was a good one, drank on tap in NG at some bar and in the bottle. Nice deep golden color, and LOTS of head. Smells slightly sweet and hoppy. Tastes almost like a barleywine (!!!!), with the sweetness offset by the hop bitterness. Too bad they don’t make it anymore. tennisjoel (742), Shakopee, Minnesota, USA Jul 4, 2006 Once poured the head quickly disappears. Strong sweet honey aroma. I have yet to taste a honey beer that has blown me away. Taste is sweet honey and almost wine-ish qualities. Very good for this style. I haven’t tasted one like this before. Extremely refreshing and very well done session style beer. Nice present from a friend who’s father in law got it for him and he shared with me. YourDarkLord (1800), Urbana, Illinois, USA May 24, 2006 Another disappointment fro New Glarus. Pale amber with a weak white head. Sweetness in the aroma, corn, MacIntosh apple, clover honey, malt. Light body and some tackiness in the mouth. The flavor was moderately sweet at the start and finished dry. Better than lutefisk. Davecooks (1150), Bay Area, California, USA Apr 8, 2005 Bottled. Clear gold with a white head. Fruity aroma with malt notes and honey. Taste is sweet, sweet, sweet. Lingering honey-like aftertaste. MilkmanDan (1938), Eagan, Minnesota, USA Feb 8, 2005 Light clear gold. Smells like creamed corn. Some malts, sweet with berries. Somewhat creamy.
