Commercial Description:
Since 1516 Brewers have led the purity revolution. They mandated only four natural ingredients be used to brew beer. This Reinheistgebot law was the first ever food purity regulation and New Glarus Brewmaster Dan Carey has consistently respected our palates by employing yeast, water, barley and hops to explore a wide spectrum of flavor. Today Dan pushes the purity envelope by using Organic Hallertau Hops from Germany with Wisconsin organically malted barley to create a complex and assertively hoppy golden ale. This beer is even natrually carbonated, 100% bottle fermented means you can expect a flavor celebration to dance cleanly across your palate. Raise your glass and toast to Wisconsin’s common sense Revolution.

Very light, fruity aroma. A bit of bread dough and fruit, a little sour, but overall pretty flavorless. Drinkable, actually pretty amazing how it can have so little flavor, then a nice aftertaste of yellow fruit and zuccini. I liked this more than its rating.

12oz bottle. Thick orange-brown color with a nice soapy head. Sugary orange chocolate aroma. Sweet medium dark malts collide with the solid bitterness which has a nice citrus tanginess in the finsh. Very clean and fresh, capturing some quality malt notes that arent so far off from a Brown Ale. Smooth and creamy, full of flavor with exceptional balance. Well done.

12 oz bottle from my beer director at Duke’s Alehouse and Kitchen. Pours a hazy golden-orange color. Decent head with some nice residual lace. Aroma is citrus but not as hoppy as expected for an "APA".Flavor is full of malt in the beginning, followed with a very dry hoppiness that stays on the tongue. This isn’t as carbonated as I’m used to...but I really like that about this brew. Wasn’t as hoppy as I personally enjoy or expect for most APA’s. Overall, I liked this one and think its very underrated.

2008 Bottle, thanks motortoddhead!! - Pours a lt orange with a large, off white head...aroma is fruity malt, a little grain...flavour is not what I’d expect from a pale ale, light, sweet malt, finishes with a clean and bready bitter end...very light, but quite enjoyable

Not much hop flavor. After cracking the bottle, there are fruity esters in the aroma, but very little hop. A plus that I love the malts NG uses and this is no exception. Pours cloudy golden with no head. Finish is clean.

Bottle poured to glass. Yellow in color with a slight haze.. Sweet maly profile in the aroma and taste. The hops are nicely paired for a full flavor and evenly balance brew.
