Commercial Description:
Since 1516 Brewers have led the purity revolution. They mandated only four natural ingredients be used to brew beer. This Reinheistgebot law was the first ever food purity regulation and New Glarus Brewmaster Dan Carey has consistently respected our palates by employing yeast, water, barley and hops to explore a wide spectrum of flavor. Today Dan pushes the purity envelope by using Organic Hallertau Hops from Germany with Wisconsin organically malted barley to create a complex and assertively hoppy golden ale. This beer is even natrually carbonated, 100% bottle fermented means you can expect a flavor celebration to dance cleanly across your palate. Raise your glass and toast to Wisconsin’s common sense Revolution.

1300th rating. 12 ounce bottle brought back from a friend. Pours a hazy orange color with miniscule particles evident in the beer. Large head with average head retention and excellent lacing. Aroma is bready, slightly grassy with some subtle corny notes. Taste is sweet caramel with lots of bready and leafy hops. Medium bodied.

Tastes organic. Uh huh. You can tell by the way it is sweet and undercarbonated and doesn’t offend all too much but does ask you to recycle even if you are an idiot and knock the bottle off the counter where it smashes into literally thousands of pieces as if tosay FUCK YOU for making fun of me - I will make you think I taste like Birkenstock sandals!

Bottle. Has a very grassy and lightly hopped character. Earthy with dry malt, light wheat, and a light bitter/resiny finish. Interesting but not worth drinking again.

Ehh, decent brew. Pours very hazy orange, with very little aroma. Very average ale taste. Minimal carbonation on tongue, finishes very smooth.

A solid beer. In trade with noncaloric. Bright amber. Tiny sediment. Minimal aroma. Very nice full bodied tasty beer. I did not get the hop level I expected but would be happy to have a pitcher with a hockey game.

Very slight hop tinge on the pallate, with essentially zero hop aroma. Lots of breadiness to this.Sure its drinkable, but so, so boring and plain. Probably the worst NG brew I have had.

Slightly hazy copper, small sticky white head. Orange, leather, and compost nose. More rustic than bright, but good. Leafy bitterness with a little pithy edge, nice chewy sweet malt, soft on the palate and pleasantly less aggressive in carbonation than most APAs. Balanced, full-flavored. A nice beer. Really curious if the citrus in the nose is yeast or hops.
