Commercial Description:
Since 1516 Brewers have led the purity revolution. They mandated only four natural ingredients be used to brew beer. This Reinheistgebot law was the first ever food purity regulation and New Glarus Brewmaster Dan Carey has consistently respected our palates by employing yeast, water, barley and hops to explore a wide spectrum of flavor. Today Dan pushes the purity envelope by using Organic Hallertau Hops from Germany with Wisconsin organically malted barley to create a complex and assertively hoppy golden ale. This beer is even natrually carbonated, 100% bottle fermented means you can expect a flavor celebration to dance cleanly across your palate. Raise your glass and toast to Wisconsin’s common sense Revolution.

12 oz bottle. Pours cloudy orange with lots of floaties and a nice off-white head. The aroma is lemony hops and lightly toasted bread. The flavor is decently hoppy with lemongrass and pepper qualities. Yeasty and bready malt qualities are the base. The finish is mild earthy bitterness. Not bad.

Pours a very cloudy golden body that smell of slight hops, yeast, and bread. Tastes of more bready sweetness and minimal hops aftertaste. A very mild beer that is still good, but probably the worst i have had from NG.

Pours a orange color with a fizzy white head. Nose of fruits, caramel, bitter hops, spice. Initial taste is grainy, earthy notes, moving into a quick candy sugar, touched with strawberry. Mid palate to finish displays some sharp hop notes and caramel. Palate is average, minor head retention. Mouth feel is oily and light bodied. A drinkable brew, but nothing to have again.

This one poured a light orange and a short lasting head followed. Straight up malt with a slightly spicy hop balance. A crisp and slightly thin finish. A good session beer.

Nice crisp beer. Malty flavor with some sweetness. Tastes a lot like the New Glarus Totally Naked. Good drinking beer, though nothing all that special.

Appearance: Pours a hazy, orangey body with a small, thin, white head. Smell: Pale malt nose with notes of light caramel and spicy-scented hops. Taste: Pale malts, a touch grainy, and with a candyish caramel sweetness. Spicy Noble hoppiness delivers a bit more bitterness than I had expected from the aroma. A nice mingling interplay of malt and hops. Finishes crisp and bittersweet. Mouthfeel: Medium-thin body. Medium carbonation. Drinkability: A decent, drinkable, well-balanced brew. While I wouldn’t stop a bottle to save it, I also wouldn’t turn one down.

12oz bottle. Aroma of Formula 409. Medicinal hop aroma. Hints of pepperoni spice in the nose. Earthy hop flavor. Woody, some creamy malt character. Light bodied. Flavorful for the body. Better as it warms.

From a brown 12oz bottle - Pours a cloudy pale yellow/orange with a slight head and carbonation. Smells of sweet malts and barley with mild hop presence. First sip is sweet bu a tad chemical cleaner like. Finishes slightly bitter. Decent mouthfeel that is under carbonated. I can’t get beyond the kitchen cleaner like taste.
