Commercial Description:
Since 1516 Brewers have led the purity revolution. They mandated only four natural ingredients be used to brew beer. This Reinheistgebot law was the first ever food purity regulation and New Glarus Brewmaster Dan Carey has consistently respected our palates by employing yeast, water, barley and hops to explore a wide spectrum of flavor. Today Dan pushes the purity envelope by using Organic Hallertau Hops from Germany with Wisconsin organically malted barley to create a complex and assertively hoppy golden ale. This beer is even natrually carbonated, 100% bottle fermented means you can expect a flavor celebration to dance cleanly across your palate. Raise your glass and toast to Wisconsin’s common sense Revolution.

12 oz bottle. Pours a clear copper with a white head. Not much in the nose some malt and a touch of sweetness. Smooth slick body. Pale malts and a touch of floral hops that are slightly sweet and rather clean. Drinkable and tasty, though I thought it was just a lager, not an APA. Good for a lager, but I’d be disappointed if I was expecting an APA.

The last in a series of 4 beers in a mixed pack. Poured a very gold color with a huge head. Not overly hoppy, but well balanced. Not great but good.

bottle, from tade with General Gao. Ok aroma, sweet, not a strong aroma, but had some nice subtleties, citrus, cardboard, brown sugar. hazed orangy golden color, small to no head,no lace. sweet bitter flavor, lite body, thin creamy mouthfeel, sweet clean finish. tasty enough, certainly a great lawn mower, aroma got better as it warmed,

Bottle via trade. This one wasn’t bad, but really didn’t excite me much. Cloudy golden color with a white head. Aroma is bready malt and grain, maybe a little yeast. Flavor is pale malt, grain, wheat, yeast, and earth/grass. Palate fairly light and crisp. Very drinkable, but not much to it.

Does Organic beer mean it’s good for me?Pours orange with a thin white head. Aroma is light, not much but some sweet malt and some yeast. Taste is light too, kind of strange dried fruits with a spicy hop bitter finish.Mouthfeel i s light and the beer is drinkable. It’s not terrible, but definitely not my favorite.

12oz bottle courtesy of mtjoseph. Rich orange pour with a thin white head leaving decent lacing. Plenty of particulate floating in there as well. Plenty of light fruity esters on the nose. Apricot and peaches. Some malted barley sweetness. Lightly hoppy on the tongue. Crisp. Light pine and mint. Grass. Not too bad. Not too much there either. Thanks Mark.

Hard to comment on the aroma, because I nearly had my nose in the beer and couldn’t come up with anything, definitely in need of more fragrant hopping, taste was a little more tangible, a slightly sweet caramel maltiness, overwashed by a finishing hop bitterness. Description says assetively hopped, maybe with bittering hops but not enough flavor hops for this style. At best,a passable session brew
