3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle at Patioís 40th bday. Pours amber with a slight haze and a white head. Aroma of pale malts and leafy hops. Nice earthy mouthfeel and carbonation, on the lighter side of medium bodied. Flavor of pale malts, and spicy european hops, but with a tamed bitterness level. Semi dry finish. Pretty solid pale here.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Originally reviewed: 12/19/08. Pours a deep cloudy goldish orange with a large foamy head on top. This retains well and leaves excellent lacing. Smells of malty grains that were dipped in hop juice. Smells good.
I was excited to try this as itís one of my favorite styles and one of my favorite breweries, but the taste on this one fell a bit short. Tastes of minute corn mixed with raisins; hop bitterness is not balanced as I would like it, and it finishes a tad sour. New Glarus missed the mark on this organic APA.

Completely ordinary and boring. Not a bad APA, but not a good one either. I grabbed 1 6 pack and gave 4 bottles away to a buddy that liked it more than I. There just isnít a whole lot going on here.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours mid amber with notes of malt and very light hops. The medium bodied beers shows nuanced hit of both hops and malt grain.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Reviewed from notes.
Pours a somewhat cloudy yellow grain color with a slight white head, a bit of retention, and not too much lacing. The nose is slight grain and some very faint floral hops. Taste is a bit grainy with a bit of a light, creamy texture. Somewhat low carbonation. Drinkability is a bit high as this is nice and light without too much going on.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
The beer pours a medium honey gold with a very light head that disappears quickly.
The aroma is light and plain, it smells like a typical macro american beer. It has a little swettness to it.
The taste is very light, you can hardly taste anything. Its super watery in feel.
This beer is disappointing overall.

12 oz bottle from a sampler pack.
Pours a hazy golden/peach color. The head is white, thin, quickly dissipating, and leaves no lacing.
The smell is almost nonexistent but it is grassy, earthy and malty.
The taste is slightly metallic, very malty, almost no hops, like any other stereotypical apas out there. The new one, Moon Man is a hoppier version of this.
NG can do better than this.

Bottle ; Pour is a slightly cloudy golden with a modest white head that eventually just rims the glass. Floral Hallertau hops come through on the nose but they are not big flavors. There is a bitterness here, and a bit of earthiness or mineral feel in this brew. I disagree that this is a complex brew. Perhaps given the circumstances it would be considered complex & flavorful, but I find it to be an enjoying yet simple american pale take on a german hop profile.

They mandated only four natural ingredients be used to brew beer...New Glarus did a great job, but this is the low of the variety pack I bought. No taste, no flavor, no zip, no burn, boring. Itís like there were left overs..."letís brew a beer, and sell it as organic. Some hippie will buy it. " New Glarus does so much better than this one. Out of all the excellent beers they brew...pass on this one.
