Bold floral bouquet sweeps forward, encouraged by the Maris Otter Malt. Ale and Brettanomyces promote complex Brett characters. Dry finish. Alive and still fermenting, this bottle will continue to build carbonation. Pour with care. Brewed 3-23-09. Bottled 6-18-09.

New Batch released in 2011, New Glarus is also considering putting it in six packs.

New Batch release in 2015 under the R & D label as well still pending unique entry or alt add.

Smells of grassy hops, with a touch of tartness. Taste is about the same, a nice balance of tart and hoppy. Very nice golden color, pretty heavily carbonated at this point. This is tasty. Thanks to madvike for this one.

Almost 4 years after bottling - Gold pour with a massive frothy head. Big barnyard aroma here - Brett, horse blanket, sour, funky. Taste - Funky, Horse Blanket, Leather, barnyard, some lemon and sour green appln. Aftertaste reminded me of black olive, but in a good way. Bring this back so I can cellar more!

Nice barnyard nose, grass, slightly floral. Golden pour with a thin white head. Some funk and floral stuff going on here, nice dry finish with some spiced Brett bitterness in the finish. Very nice and different!

This is what I wish orval was. This poured a semi hazy golden color with a fluffy white head. Aroma was lots and lots of brett, some lemons, light spices, and some grain. Flavor was lightly tart, loads of brett, some citrus peel and light grain notes. Really refreshing bretted beer.

Bottle from CanIHave4Beers. Thanks! Pours a thick, cask-pull orange with a nose of soured oprange blanket. Flavor is soured blanket and musty leather. Oily on the tongue. GREAT beer!

[4722-20120818] Bottle. Light yeasty fresh straw grass and Ivory soap aroma. Hazy, light orange body with a long-lasting creamy off-white head. Quite strong Irish Spring soap yeast flavour is a little overpowering. Medium body. Weird. (6/3/6/3/13) 3.1

Bottle shared at Campground Brewdown. Poured a hazy deep golden straw body with an average to larger bright white foamy head. Aroma of Brett, funkiness, horse blanket. Full body with super fizzy carbonation at first but that dies and this actually finishes watery. Flavor is funky with notes of Brett, horse blanket and rottin lemons. Good but aroma trumps flavor.

UPDATED: JUL 6, 2015 Shared a 2009 vintage 500ml bottle into a mini schooner glass, thank you so much Vyvvy! It poured a slightly hazy orangish-golden-amber color with white head, everlasting with lace. Absolutely perfect aromas: husky grains, sweet malts, faint caramel, biscuit, rising bread dough, baklava, fruity ale yeast esters, and mysterious and slightly barnyardy Brett. Flavor balance was just as complex, a little more hops-forward than I expected, tangy and citrusy but smooth, smooth, smooth. Light-medium body, spritzy carbonation, well-rounded wheat-bread mouthfeel, nicely concealed elevated alcohol, lasting bitterweet aftertaste. An unbelievably delicious beer.

Clear golden. No head. A lot of carbonation. Wheat. Light body beer. No head. Smooth.

Bottle, poured a cloudy orange color, aromas of brett, light apples, grapes, and light wheat. Flavors are the same, tart wheat with some apples and grapes. Not overly sour, interesting beer, nice overall.
