Bomber bottle, fresh in the WI. Pours ruby, red, mahogany. Beautiful raspberry aroma. Taste is sweet raspberry tart with a bit of a sour beer base back. It’s a great beer for a gorgeous summer afternoon.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
750 ml bottle shared by Jon. Thanks man! Pours a translucent color of, well, raspberries. Poofy bubbles make up the thin head of this beautiful glass of beer. Aroma is, again, raspberries, but really fresh ones. Amazing - this is beer? Flavor is deliciously sweet raspberries, not much else to report. I am reminded of the complexity of pie. All around amazing flavors, crisp finish. Delicious. From notes 1/23/10 (Geist Dark Lord tasting)

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
aroma: raspberry, vanilla, raspberry, raspberry
appearance: golden red body; creamy white head; lively carb bubble action for that a$$
taste: sweet and tart raspberry, sweet vanilla ice cream, ends with a slightly sour berry note.
palate: creamy with refreshing soda like carb fizziness, no shizzy. finishes long and juicy, slightly bitter/sour.
greatest fruit beer i’ve had yet. beats out rubaeus by a slim but definitive margin.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a dark red/brown with a half finger of quickly dissipating wispy head. Nose is dominated by raspberry jam. Taste is raspberry jam, extremely sweet, a bit of planty dryness at the very end. Mouthfeel is a bit syrupy. I want more tart in this beer. Really tasty, but a bit too sweet.

Poured a hazy reddish brown with a thin white head. Nose is huge raspberry with some vegetal notes. Taste is sweet raspberry with minimal tartness. There is also some spice on the backend. Love this beer.

Wow. This is just an amazing beverage. Sweet and refreshing. The depth of flavor New Glarus gets out of their beers is incredible. Pours red with a thin head. Full raspberry flavor is present throughout. Not too tart. A great framboise.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
750ml bottle from Rays in Tosa - cellar aged 6 months and shared at fridge temperature with Randy & Laura for Memorial Day. Pours a pinkish brown with a pink head leaving some lace. Aroma has a very strong raspberry presence, with sweet and tart fruits involved as well. Definitely raspberry-forward. Taste brings more raspberry leading, with some tart fruit presence (cranberries?) and sweetness (apples?) in the mix. Some certain oaky barrel presence. Slightly carbonated. Light to medium bodied. Finishes sweet and tart. Somewhere in the mix between a wine, a wine cooler and a fruit drink. Not their best fruit beer, IMO, but still a very solid, tasty effort.
