Commercial Description:
The voluminous raspberry bouquet will greet you long before your lips touch your glass. Serve this Wisconsin framboise very cold in a champagne flute. Then hold your glass to a light and enjoy the jewel-like sparkle of a very special ale. Oregon proudly shares their harvest of mouth-watering berries, which we ferment spontaneously in large oak vats. Then we employ Wisconsin farmed wheat and year old Hallertau hops to round out this extravaganza of flavor.

Deep and dark marron color with a pink colored head. Smell is wonderful. Raspberries in strength and sweet like dessert. Taste is sweet raspberries. Dessert in a liquid form. Almost anyone would like this beer. Easily drinkable.

Ruby red color with a light pinkish head leaving excellent lacing. Rich smell of tart raspberries; reminds me a lot of the raspberry Jell-o my grandma used to make. Raspberries lightly pucker in your mouth, it’s really like eating raspberries fresh, only in liquid form. The amount of tartness is perfect, not overly acidic like how some raspberry framboise’s can be; sour, without the harsh. Carbonation dances on the tongue, enhancing each flavor. Medium bodied, finishes a bit dry. Incredibly drinkable, if this was in a nonic pint glass, I’d probably end up polishing off the bottle in no time.

Rating #1700.

Very deep cherry in colour, creamy and lasting off-white coloured head, good lacing. The aroma is all raspberries - real raspberries, high sweetness, some jam. The flavour is of raspberry jam, good tartness, sweet, rich. Very sweet mouthfeel, medium body, medium carbonation. Finishes long with lots of raspberry sweetness.

This is excellent. Very well balanced, high drinkability, only 4% alc?? Seems like it should be more. Incredible. I actually tried a sip of this with a bit of peanut butter, it was amazing.

750ml bottle shared by beerhugger, thanks Steve.

very fruity pleasant scent of raspberries. Pour is very dark red with quickly disappearing head that dissolves into a pink ring around the outside of the glass. taste is obviously raspberries, but it is done just right. this is the best fruit beer I have ever had. Very nice. In my opinion, this is better than the Belgian Red. I would certainly purchase this again.

2008 Bottle - Pours a murky reddish brown, does not have a "jewel-like sparkle," aroma is pure raspberries and it is wholly genuine, wonderfully tart raspberry flavour, malty and bright, this was a wonderful sour...
