COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This dark ale is a hearty and satisfying reward for those of us who embrace the frozen tundra. Uncut oatmeal fresh from Chilton, Wisconsin gives this Stout a "sink into it" smoothness that slides you into its depth. Handcrafted English Chocolate malt and Wisconsin Victory malt combine to balance this robust ale. Expect this ale to pour a luxurious rich head over a rich black ruby body. The powerful malt bouquet will greet you as you tip this silky smoothness from your glass. Our Oatmeal Stout is handcrafted in the time-honored traditions. Serve just above room temperature and relax -- road construction season will soon return.

Bottle. Pours a deep dark brown with a tan head and lacing. Toasted malt aroma, with chocolate, coffee, and burnt toast. Taste is sharp, of malt, chocolate, brown sugar, and toast. Lingering sharpness that ends a bit watery. Tasty.

"a budget SS Oatmeal Stout clone! Holy crap...I donít know that i can tell the two apart. they nailed it...so hereís my review for Sam Smiths...only difference is a half point lower for feel. "still the benchmark as far as Oatmeal Stouts are concerned. Iím glad SS no longer does the clear glass bottles...it was hit or miss whether or not your beer would be spoiled, but now itís always great. Perfect nose, great smooth mouthfeel, if a little thin. Roasted everything, highly drinkable." "

Reviewed from notes: chocolate and roasted malt on the nose, with just a bit of coffee. Chocolate, roasted malt, and hint of oats. Very smooth.

Really? Do you just take all your "standard" beers and make them a mild ale of some sort? Come on. I love your fruits and unchained series, but this is shit.

12oz bottle, courtesy of portableparty. a nice light black body looks great and inviting the nose is lighter and contains nice light malt profile, a great beer for drinking dark and not being heavy.

Pour is dark brown with a thin tan head. Pretty high carbonation levels for a stout. Aroma is roast/toasty/slight coffee. Flavor is of chocolate and toast. Well-balanced, nothing amazing but very drinkable and a good session stout.

Black with fally foamy tan head...huge lacing. Chocolate malt on the nose. Typical stout profile...roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, vanilla. This is a quality stout and I canít say a bad thing about it. Filling but easy drinking.
