Happy Accident Fruit Ale Severe Drought, we shared the farmerís horror as Wisconsinís cherry crop failed! Dan bought what cherries he could. The apple crop fared better. Then joy! A grand Wisconsin cranberry harvest. What will Dan brew with Apples, Cranberries and Cherries? Oh my! You hold the happy accident of Wisconsinís favorite fruit aged in oak with an almost magical wild fermentation. Serendipity is a wondrous celebration that sparkles your senses and dances across your palate. A kaleidoscope of flavors discovered by accident in a sour ale! Cheers to the unexpected. Vielen Dank!

Poured out of a 750ml bottle. Pours a dark amberish red with a white head. Such a sweet apple cranberry taste it's like no beer I've had before. Hands down the best fruit ale I've had. This proves yet again why New Glarus is one if my favorite breweries. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pour out of 750 mL bottle, reddish pour with thin fizzy white head, aroma brought cran-apple juice, lots of apple, green apple notes, slight lemon, fruity cranberry juice, slight vanilla and sugary tones. Taste is a mix of fruit, some tart lemon, cranberry into big apple, apple juice, some orange peel , hints of vanilla, finishing sweet. A bit over the top but the fruit in this is incredible.

750 ml bottle from StFun--I think. Thanks. Pours a beautiful reddish color with a small off-white head that soon recedes to a fine ring. The aroma is big and bold with cranberries, apples, cherries--and I coulda sworn there was some raspberry in there too. The taste, like the aroma, is all cranberries, cherry and apples set nicely in a neutral malt base. The palate is silky smooth with prickly carbonation. Finishes long and sweet with lingering fruit flavors. Overall: First rate stuff--must get more.

Very strong flavors of apples and cherries. The cranberries are a little less noticeable. Both sweet and tart and tastes like juice. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

750 ml bottle from Timfoolery, smells and tastes like juice, mostly apple with a cherry aftertaste. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from trade. Aroma is more cherry and apple, while the flavor picks up more cranberry than the other two. Ironically, the flutes broke in the mail, so not so serendipitous. However, the brew is very good. Great beer, but I liked Strawberry Rhubarb better.

No bottling information.
Appearance: The body is mildly hazy with a pink tinted red hue, sort of violet hued as well. The head is short and dense, but quickly becomes a foamy light tan coating. Sort of dish soapy.
Aroma: The aroma is huge and fruity. Immediately cranberry juice comes to mind and instantly creates a huge thirst. Green apples appear on second smell, coming off tart. On a third go I get bright cherries. The fruit medley is sublime, leaning tart and bright. Well done.
Taste: Oh boy this is like a carbonated juice. The intro is strong of sweet cherry and it lays a bold foundation with apples taking the second platform in strength. The cranberries are really downplayed, acting mostly to dry up the beer a bit as itís a bit sweet. The flavors are mildly tart and the base is like syrupy juice. The flavor throughout is incredibly bold and the finish has a mild vinegar to it. This is pretty nice, but a bit thick.
Palate: Full-bodied, bordering on syrupy, with mild carbonation.
Overall: This is a pretty great beer, itís like a grown up fruit punch. I find that itís a bit too bold and syrupy in the flavor though, perhaps some more carbonation would help lighten that up. The vinegar on the finish is a nice touch though and I would love to try this with some salads with vinegar based dressings or cheesecake.

Tasted at New Glarus. Pours a deep red, almost purple. Flavors are well balanced, though it's a bit too sweet to drink more than a glass at a time.

Bottle. The look is clear, beige colored head, and amber reddish in color. The smell is apples, fruit, tart, juice, and jolly ranchers. The taste is tart, apples, tart, juicy, candy, and good.
