Happy Accident Fruit Ale Severe Drought, we shared the farmerís horror as Wisconsinís cherry crop failed! Dan bought what cherries he could. The apple crop fared better. Then joy! A grand Wisconsin cranberry harvest. What will Dan brew with Apples, Cranberries and Cherries? Oh my! You hold the happy accident of Wisconsinís favorite fruit aged in oak with an almost magical wild fermentation. Serendipity is a wondrous celebration that sparkles your senses and dances across your palate. A kaleidoscope of flavors discovered by accident in a sour ale! Cheers to the unexpected. Vielen Dank!

A - pours a hazy muddy maroon like apple cherry cider with low off white head. S - holy sweet fruit juice batman. Overripe apples/cranberries/raspberry juice/white grape juice. Musty notes, honey and floral notes swirl around the appeals albeit a tad overly sweet aromas. M - lively carb and a bright though sticky feel. Nice full palate, heavy on the sweet. Lingering fruitiness. T - fruit forward for sure. Apple/white grape/peach/cran/berry juice. Bam. Must, honey, brown sugar and light vegetal notes. O - how does new glaurus make such good fruit beers. Good stuff. 3.9

UPDATED: SEP 12, 2015 Pour is dark hazy pinkish... With a frothy and light pink head. Aroma is delicious and subtle of green apples, wild berries and some "other fruits" The taste is really fruity-sweet, with a little bit of tartness to it.. Average bodied, with a semi-flat carbonation. I really do like the subtleness of this.. Pretty darn tasty ans enjoyable.

Bottle pours brownish red with nice one finger yellowish head and good lacing. Aroma of apple, cranberry, cherry and slight funk. Initial taste sweet but as you progress through the glass the sourness and tartness take over like drinking a sourball. Prolonged tartness on the finish. Palate mildly thick. No discernible alcohol. Too sour and tart for my taste.

Pours a clear dark ruby - smells like Thanksgiving - an explosion of sweet apple and cherry pie fillings with a side of tart cranberry sauce - a light kiss of oak and very mild fruit skin funkiness - full but fairly soft carbonation - sweet kriek (cherry, oak, spices) character leads to a balancing tart cranberry middle, followed by apple pie filling - kriek-like qualities return for the finish - cherry skin, light oak, a little bit of funk - prickly acidity on the tail end - even though their tartness adds a balance to the sweetness, the flavor of the cranberries seems to be the odd man out here - but this is a minor complaintabout an otherwise awesome beer.

This beer pours a deep reddish-brown color with a medium tan head that diminishes gradually to a film. Rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of dark fruits and malt. Light-bodied with flavors of cherries, tart apples and earthy yeast. The finish is lightly sour with a green apple aftertaste. Good beer all around.
