3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle shared by Tommy, thanks a lot! Pour is hazy bright red with white head and good lacing. Aroma is sirupy, sweet cranberries, cherries, light aplle notes. Taste is sweet berries (gummies-like), apples, light tartness. medium body, sticky, average carbonation. Definitly not a fan of new glarus fruit beers.

Bottle (750 ml). Thanks to MatSciGuy for this one! Clear ruby/amber with a small persistent white head and intense lacing. Aroma of cherry gummies, cranberries, sweetness and green apple. Taste is moderately sweet and heavily fruity with tons of fruity gummies (cherry, cranberries and green apple) and light acidic presence from the cranberries. Sirupy mouthfeel. Light to medium body. Moderate carbonation. Like Raspberry Tart and Wisconsin Belgian Red, this is a low abv sipper. Sweet and fruity, really gummies-like. Still enjoyable.

Bomber. What a great save. Very similar in body to Big Red. Nose and taste have a lot of similarities with plenty of fruit. Taste has that nice cranberry tart bite that cuts the sweetness. Very nice on this hot summer day. New Glarus just keeps churning out goodness.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a deep red brown color with a modest, very creamy, light tan head. Aroma has a lot of tart cranberry and cherry sweetness with a sweet apple juice finish. You can taste the cherry in this brew but I think its the cranberry that really makes this beer. The cranberry tartness complexed with the imparted yeast acidity and tartness makes this beer very good. The finish to the beer has a strong apple juice quality in both flavor and texture. Body is light with some stickiness too it. The carbonation is very fine and lends a slight sharpness too it. Overall a very good beer. The sweetness is a bit on the strong side for one person to consume and I could see this being a fantastic beer in smaller doses as a dessert. The apple juice quality at the end of the flavor would my only knock as it doesn’t seem to be transformed in the brewing process. Still a great beer.

750 ml bottle thanks to JStax. Pours ruby red with a small fizzy, bubbly head that fades to ring. Rich, juicy sour cherry and green apple aroma. Taste is moderately sweet with a crisp tart finish. Great blend of cherries and apples, don’t detect any cranberries. Love the soft tingling carbonation. Drinks like a liquid jolly rancher. Love the New Glarus fruit beers. Need to try more of them.

Clear amber pour, thin off white head and light lacing ... aroma of cherries, cranberries and apple ... smells a lot like belgian cherry .. taste is of cherries, cranberries mostly tart and sour, apple is light in both the aroma and taste ... kind of like blending raspberry tart and the belgian cherry with a slight smack of apple ... has a light bitter sour tart mouthfeel ... excellent brew

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Draft at Bodega’s Brewpub. Pours viscous cranberry with very little head. No lacing in the glass. Big fruit on the nose. Very sweet on the tongue but not in an artificial way. The cherry and cranberry is more forward on the tongue with the apple coming through on the finish. There’s also some tartness to keep things interesting. This does linger for a while. Just a fantastic example of the style.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
750 ml bottle courtesy madbeerbaron. This one pours a mostly ruby red with a pinkish hue and topped by a thin head of beige colored foam that quickly recedes while leaving some lacing around the glass. The aroma is really nice showing notes of sour cherries, cranberries, apples, and melange of other dark fruits. The flavor follows suit with the tart cherries and sour apples up front followed by cranberries and some sweet dark fruits. Nearly full bodied and round with tingling carbonation that leads a sweet-tart finish. This is definitely not a sour, but the tart fruit and sweet flavors play off each other perfectly. Another home run for the best fruit beer brewer in the business. Bravo Dan! Awesome stuff.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
750-ml bottle. Pours a clear ruby with no head. Very sweet, fruity nose of apple, cranberries, and cherries, which becomes the dominant tone after a while. The taste mirrors the aroma: Sweet apple quickly followed by tart raspberries and cherry to finish, with not even a hint of bitterness. Extremely clean mouthfeel, abrupt tart finish, not much carbonation. Drinks as close to fruit juice as a beer can. Incredibly well-crafted, but doesn’t quite match the hype.
