COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Happy Accident Fruit Ale Severe Drought, we shared the farmerís horror as Wisconsinís cherry crop failed! Dan bought what cherries he could. The apple crop fared better. Then joy! A grand Wisconsin cranberry harvest. What will Dan brew with Apples, Cranberries and Cherries? Oh my! You hold the happy accident of Wisconsinís favorite fruit aged in oak with an almost magical wild fermentation. Serendipity is a wondrous celebration that sparkles your senses and dances across your palate. A kaleidoscope of flavors discovered by accident in a sour ale! Cheers to the unexpected. Vielen Dank!

Bottle shared by Jredmond. Pours dark amber with an off white head. Nose is very fresh sugar apple, cranberry and cherry with some malt. Very strong and fresh. Taste is same, but slightly less. Medium body.

Sweet, tart, and woody. It pushes all three aspects for me, but never quite to excess. Almost cloying, complex aroma. I guess thatís the name of the game for fruit beers like this. Taste is nice, and at this point in my beer journey I canít see a fruit beer going much higher than this.

Bottle. Pours a reddish cidery garnet. Aroma is tart apples, apple juice, jammy sour cherry, light caramel, fruit rollup, sweet tarts. Taste is apple fading into light cherries on the midpalate followed by jammy red fruits, cherry skins, and an almost Concord grape note. Sweetness balanced by tartness. Good carbonation. Having had their Belgian Red fairly recently, I think I prefer this. Excellent.

Bottle - Cherry and apple sweetness with a nice tart nose. Clear light copper with a decent white head. Tart cherry with a tannic apple. Tart and sweet, well balanced.

Bottle: pours a light reddish color with a thin white head, aroma of apple juice, taste reminds me of a cider, not a beer I can drink with regularity

"No surprises here - wonderful as a breakfast beer. Slightly tart and slightly sweet. Great bright full flavored feel. Maaaaaybe a hint more apple than cherry and cranberry but pretty well balanced. Love the aroma and flavor. Not very wild or sour, just a beautifully tart fruit beer!"

Bottle. Fruit, green apples, gooseberry, jam, light funk. Taste is great again, apples, red fruit, berries, little bit sweet, brown sugar. Little sour bite. Yum.

huge fruity nose - apples and cherry mostly, some tartness. Murky amber xor with foamy tan head. Sweet, super fruity, apples, berry and cherry. Tart and lightly acidic.

Poured from bottle into fluted glass. Deep amber color with bubbly white head. Smells like apple cider and champagne. Tastes like apples and wine, with a tiny bit of malt evident, as well. Pretty sweet, not exceptionally tart. Feel is bubbly from the carbonation. Lighter body. Overall: pretty tasty. Barely resembles beer, much more like a cider, but without the dryness. A little tart, but not vinegary like a typical sour.

Dan shared his bottle the other day. Poured a beautiful deep red mahogany with almost no head in a snifter. The aromas...oh my. Serious lush fruits including the cherries, cranberries, pears, apples, and plums. It reminded me of grandma Coilas berry pies. I could even get the bready, biscuity pie crust. The taste was there with the aromas in complexity of the various fruits. I think the only drawback is thatit was really sweet. But at the same time there was a nice tartness to chase the ending. Medium body for a sour/fruit but oh so good.

I donít have lots of experience with fruit beers. I really enjoyed this, helped Iím sure by the fact that I love cherries and cranberries. Fruity as youíd expect, and tart as youíd expect. A bit too carbonated for my tastes, but still, this was a great beer.
