One of my favorite beers, I find myself traveling out of my way to find this beer. Have actually travelled to New Glarus to get this one.

Acceptable pale ale, odd sourness in finish, pretty much no hops at all. Only had bottled version.

A very good cream ale. Slight DMS aroma. Actually much better on tap than in the bottle. Slight corn flavors as typical for this style. Light aroma of hops and a creamy finish.

3.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
A crowd pleaser in the pubs around Madison, it is best from the tap but good from the bottle if tilted and swirled. Smooth and just heady enough, I love this beer. It’s rich and just complex enough yet light and fruity enough to drown in! Don’t look for depth, look for ’ease’ and this is the one to go with.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: SEP 8, 2005 rerate-pours a clear lemon yellow hue with a small white head. grany, sweet and lightly cream aroma-like cream corn, but there is a note there that smells slightly like a wit/saison. maybe its the yeast they used. the flavors show this more and overall, the flavor is sweet and slightly bland, but quite refreshing at the same time. im calling this a WI saison. finish is pretty dry with some lingering sweet tones. not bad!
not as bad as people say it is, but not the best pale ale either-i did not taste the corn until i got to the bottom. not bad, but there are definately better new glarus products out there

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Spotted Cow poured hazy and yellow. The odor was somewhat unpleasent and musty. The taste was light, with minimal malt flavor, however the yeast provided a spike of clandestine fruitiness. My main problem with this beer was the corn taste. While not as pronounced as say in Budweiser it still was too much for my palate.

Very light, almost reminiscent of a Heineken/Bud Light?? Some hop flavor and aroma, hint of corn. Nice mouthfeel.

A strange odor, but a nice taste. Drinks very easy, and leaves a pleasant aftertaste.
