COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewed with flaked barley and the finest Wisconsin malts. We even give a nod to our farmers with a little hint of corn. Naturally cloudy we allow the yeast to remain in the bottle to enhance fullness of flavors, which can not be duplicated otherwise. Expect this Ale to be fun, fruity and satisfying.

Pours a cloudy pale straw with a nice white head and good lacing. Aroma of grain and light fruit as well as a hint of corn, some bread and a lager smell. Taste is mild but fruitier than I anticipated with apples, and has a sweetness like pears in light syrup. Also some grainy bread flavors. Finishes with a bit of sweetness and has little to no hop flavor or bitterness. Mouthfeel is semi creamy with a light/medium body and high carbonation. Easy drinking and enough flavor to satisfy.

Various. This is a standard beer you can find anywhere in Wisconsin and it is well-loved. The cloudiness may be off-putting to some, but the palate is smooth. The flavor is mild yet pleasant, which makes it popular for a wide demographic who want an accessible beer. New Glarus has better beers than Spotted Cow, but none as popular or flexible.

Rated based on notes taken 26 Jun 2014 -- I had been wanting to try this beer for a long time. It has the typical corn sweetness that I love in cream ales, although it was surprisingly hazy, upon further review NG intended this to be the case. Still a very pleasant beer to drink.

Thanks to the Shockmels for the beer! Pours hazy pale straw with super fluffy white head. Aroma of light malt sweetness. Flavor is nicely sweet but lightly tart. Lingers well. I am not a cream ale fan but this is nice and drinkable. Depth of flavor with the lightness from the corn and great head from the flaked barley. Nice beer.

Light golden color, moderate white head. Grassy, floral, coriander, orange peel, and bread malt. Very light taste, mildly sweet, and much like macrobrew lagers but better. Light bodied, mild carb, and a clean finish.

A good beer. I love my friends trip home to wisconsin as it usually yields me a couple cases.

Hazed golden color with a small, white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of toast, light citrus, faint corn. Taste of much of the same, less corn, more crisp wheatish.Clean finish

On tap, poured into a shaker. The aroma is a bit banana and clove, but this fades to cereal, lemon, and corn. It pours a slightly hazy yellow with a light, sudsy, fizzy white head. It retains a medium thick, dense ring of head with a light, cloudy surface and not much lace. The taste is a mellow, slightly muted, medium sweet with a light bitterness. The waxy texture is accompanied by a moderate, active carbonation. The medium body finishes with grain / cereal, corn, clove honey, lemon, and a touch of a floral character. The aftertaste is mostly clean with light notes of corn. Inoffensive, smooth drinker.

Inoffensive home-town hero beer for Wisconsinites like me. Putting my local love aside it pours visually and tastes like a standard light beer. No skunk, nothing bitter, hints of freshness and a safe taste. My wife likes it and I think others who just want a taste of beer who don't like tasty beer but also don't want to worry about gagging it down like this. That and for people in Illinois (where I live now) it's a hip novelty to smuggle it in. Reviewed a smuggled in bottle. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
