Bottled. What to say about this beer, I’ve encountered it many times and in many settings since moving to Madison two years ago, and each time it has fit right in. Friendly, unassuming, golden color. Hints of hay and fruit form its mild aroma. A light subdued taste of cream, corn, hint of grass and fruit. Sweet and simple. It is like an old friend, familar and comforting. I’m shocked at the low rating of this beer. No it doesn’t push itself to be the center of attention, like other loud and bold beers. It is a simple, but well made brew.

This is by far the worst "craft" beer I have ever tried. Maybe I have become a beer snob. :)

The posted ratings say to me that people don’t understand the Cream Ale style. This New Glarus is a very nice example of the style. We’re talking a light sweet (corn) expression of the ale yeast. Overall, a nice cream ale.

Good to drnk on hot day on Wisconsin river. But that’s it. Good berr but no real flavor to it. Lively co2, perfectly clear. Grainy finish. Good grains but that’s all folks.

Cloudy golden color. Thicker creamery texture than expected. Smell and tastes grainy with a hunt if citrus.

Tap at Maxwell’s - pours pale gold, brief head, nice effervescence. Not much aroma. And truth be told, not much flavor either. Yes, it has Belgium profile, and it isn’t watery... but it lacks the typical New Glarus boldness. So, it is a good session beer, and good beer for those taking there first moves away from Bud, Coors, etc.

bottle. slightly hazy with a glowing gold color and a small, frothy, white head. lightly fruity with pear, apple, green banana. flavors are similar with a hint of tart from maybe some acidulated malt(?). the flaked product lends a full creamy body and the carbonation level is not too sharp, so its easily drinkable. as far as cream ales go, this is tough to beat.

Bottle. Pours yellow with a goldish tint, slight haze. Definite cream ale taste, slight sweetness. This beer really does nothing for me.

This light yellow beer with a sweet aroma is my session beer when snowboarding. The creamy mouth feel and very slight hop flavor goes down too easily.

12oz in NYC. Sweet creamy ale, a little hard candy. Fruity, lactic, light body. Smooth, enjoyable.

la simplicidad se hace realidad con esta ale de trago larguisímo.
Sería genial encontrarla en España de grifo.
