3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 akoeninger (154) - Wisconsin, USA - MAR 3, 2013Bottled. What to say about this beer, I’ve encountered it many times and in many settings since moving to Madison two years ago, and each time it has fit right in. Friendly, unassuming, golden color. Hints of hay and fruit form its mild aroma. A light subdued taste of cream, corn, hint of grass and fruit. Sweet and simple. It is like an old friend, familar and comforting. I’m shocked at the low rating of this beer. No it doesn’t push itself to be the center of attention, like other loud and bold beers. It is a simple, but well made brew.

12 oz. Bottle. Easy to drink. Good session beer. I don’t remember flavor notes but just thought it was good.

Draft. Very light yellowish/amber. Pretty thin. Not a lot of anything going on taste wise. Could be refreshing on a warm day I suppose...

Pale Hazy Yellow. The flavor and nose consist of Barley, Malts, Yeasts, and Sweet Corn. Feels very smooth and light on the palate thanks to the low carbonation. Can’t really go wrong with this beer and it’s perfect for any occasion.

On draft at an Irish pub on downtown Milwaukee. Pours a cloudy golden. Not much of an aroma. Taste is wheat, fruit, corn...pretty light. Probably wouldn’t have this again.

Had this beer at the milwaukee brat house with an amazing brat and kraut! was more flavored as a wheat beer than a cream ale. Very smooth finish with hints of barley and wheat and corn. is a favorite of the locals in wisconsin!

Another bottle snagged in Madison and enjoyed after a long day of water parking. Um not sure what to say here. Better than average but not really my style. Probably a great summer thirst quencher.

Pours cloudy and straw-colored; thin lacy white head. Aroma is slightly fruity; almost a hint of cider. Taste is somewhat sweet. No real bitterness present. Some tart citrus flavors in the middle with honey sweetness in the finish. Light body and smooth texture; mild carbonation. Very nice brew!

Bottle courtesy GhostFace, poured into a pint glass. Clear yellow gold with a white head. Aroma is full of grains but the corn is pretty forward here. Same with the flavor. Some mild banana pith as well, but this is overall a grain soup with a not subtle corn influence. It’s not bad or anything, just obvious and maybe a little tiring on the palate. Thinnish and drinkable.
2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 Hammy78 (613) - Dundas, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 25, 2013
This was my first New Glarus experience, and to be honest, I wasn’t very impressed. Thankfully the others I’ve had since then have changed my opinion. Pours a slightly cloudy golden colour, witha fare amount of white head, and piles of lacing. Nose is overwhelmingly banana, and more fruit that I find not very good in some beers. Tastes quite bland,. Sweet, a touch bitter, and that banana taste is there again.
