2.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Aroma: Not picking up much of an aroma here, maybe a little biscuit. Smells like a lager
Appearance: Cloudy from the yeast. Thin, white head did not last long
Taste: sweet and slightly citrus/fruity taste. No bitterness here. Tastes like a sweet lager, not an ale
Mouthfeel: Medium, creamy body. Low carbonation, almost flat.
Overall: New Glarus makes some great beers, but this one doesn’t do much for me. Not much aroma or flavor here. Tastes like an extra sweet and creamy mass produced lager.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. Pours a hazy gold with a high white lacy mashed-potato head. Nose is stone fruit, fresh bread, and yeast; quite mild. On the tongue, it’s very...well...beer-like; grain, lemon, toast, metal. Finish is short and unremarkable. Disappointing.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Cloudy golden with a hint of brown. Head is small but persistent. Aroma is light white fruits. The corn and grain are dominant flavors. Maybe some pear. Finish is lightly sweet malt. Kinda boring.

5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
A beer drinkers beer! One of the best beers in America. They won’t distribute it outside of Wisconsin so if you ever find yourself there its s must have/try. Once you do you won’t want anything else.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
In my opinion this is hands down one of the best beers from the United States. Thankfully I live in Wisconsin so I can enjoy this anytime.

2.7 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
12 oz bottle shared with ebone1988 from the depths of Dumpster Box No. 1. The pour is a light golden yellow with a decently dense cap of white head and a soapy lace as it falls down to a collar. The aroma is not very good. There is a light creaminess on top of a pilsner. There is a lot of grain and a light bitterness. I'm not looking forward to how this is going to go down. The flavor is very similar. It's a lightly creamy pilsner. I don't like it. Grainy and carries a sweetness to it. It's just different. The mouth feel is light and the carbonation doesn't match the viscosity. It's got a lingeringly sweet grainy finish, and it's not good. Ugh.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Cloudy yellow pour, small white head. Fruity and spiced aroma, banana and clove. Sweet fruity flavors, yeasty. Better than expected, would be a better summer brew, doesn’t work in the winter, at least for me. Thanks to Jody and Sam for a tasty Xmas present.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 oz bottle. Pours a mostly clear golden color and topped by a decent sized off white of foam that shows good retention. The foam slowly settles to a thin film at the body below and leaves nice streaks of lacing around the glass. The aroma shows notes of white bread, sweet corn, sweet grains, pale malts, fruity yeast esters, and a touch of grassy bitterness on the back end. The flavor follows with pale malt and grains along with touches of white bread, corn, and a touch of banana from the yeasty esters. There is also a nice spiciness there that comes a cross as clove that helps accentuate sweetness from the grains and malts. Only a hint of grassy hops add bitterness on the back end to help keep the sweetness in check. Medium bodied with lively carbonation that leads to a slightly fruity finish. Straight forward and nicely balanced that is well executed. But certainly not the best offering from New Glarus.
