12-oz bottle received via SS ’07, holdenn. Pours clear amber with a spare, fizzy, white head, mostly diminishing with fair lacing. Aroma is average malt (grain, cereal, meal), light hops (grass), average yeast (sweat, earth) with notes of cooked corn. Light bodied, oily texture, soft carbonation, and a chalky finish. Average duration, light sweetness, acidity, and bitterness.

Clear amber color with small head. Malty light caramel aroma. The taste was the same with lite spice and nice light roasted character. Thanks, Mark.

Courtesy of Styles Bottle: The aroma is grainy with some caramel, fruit, and grass. It pours a transparent amber with a small white head. The flavor starts with caramel and fruit that turns to an herbal grassy bitterness in the finish. Medium-bodied with mild carbonation.

12oz bottle from Brigadier. Aroma: Rich maltiness with a strong toast. Light brown sugar and citrus. Some light herbal hop notes as it warms. Appearance: Deep orange in color and clear. Light beige head was full and foamy with good retention. Nice lacing. Flavor: Medium sweet maltiness with notes of toasted nuts and brown sugar. Some light herbal and citrus notes mid taste. Bitterness was just enough to do its job. Finishes dry. Palate: Medium bodied. Medium carbonation. Overall: A pleasant marzen. A good drinker with some good flavor.

Bottle from trade with shigadeyo. Poured clear dark copper color with a large frothy off-white head that was mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate toasted sweet malt aroma. Medium body. Medium balanced flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. The beer goes well with a spicy food.
