Nice orange color, lots of malty fruity flavor that meshes with the aroma, and a clean finish. A very good Marzen. jarlbartar (88), Janesville, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 6, 2007 Poured a rich amber with a quickly fading head. Strong aroma of malt and spices. Very powerful taste of dark malts and a few lingering spices. Had a slight warming effect on the throat with a decent aftertaste. Not a big fan of Oktoberfest beers, but this one was pretty good. Thanks to thefatkid13 for this brewski.
Pour was, less then stellar. Pretty heavy pour yielded a color that looked like darkened apple juice, but no head at all. However, that is the only down side to this brew. I might need a another furley, just to re-puor it. :) The smell on this is solid, with spices and grains. Taste is very good, and easily put down. Thanks again kid.

| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 20/20 | Jan 21, 2007 Pours a very clear deep reddish copper, briefly topped by half an inch of off-white foam, then replaced by a very thin ring of foam and an even thinner layer of film. No lacing. Mild caramel and some sweet fruitiness in the aroma.
Very tasty beer - lots of toasted malt, some caramel, some grain, a hint of chocolate, and fruit. A mild hop presence in the finish provides good balance. Quite a bit of that sweet fruitiness remains in the aftertaste. GeneralGao (3051), Iowa City, Iowa, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Dec 28, 2006 Updated: Nov 21, 200712 oz bottle. Poured a clear medium orange color. Head was off white and reduced fairly quickly to a thin film. Not much lace was left behind. Aroma was of light brown sugar with a papery note. Fruity and slightly sweet with toasted nut and a bit of spicy black pepper accompanied by light malty caramel/molasses flavors. Decent beer, but a bit overrated. hopdog (5552), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 30, 2006 12oz bottle. Poured a medium and slightly hazy copper color with an averaged sized off white head. Aromas of toasted malts, burnt, caramel, and some nuts. Tastes of caramel, toasted nuts, and lightly bready. Tastes started out nice but had a weak and thin finish. dhlesq (233), Thousand Oaks, California, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 4, 2006 Aroma of caramel and vienna malt, some biscuit, all-natural peanut butter. Appears a crystal-clear copper color with no noticeable effervescence and with no head to speak of. Flavor is malty, sweet, biscuity, with moderate spice in the finish. Palate is thick and chew, yet somehow refreshing in the end. Overall, this is a pleasant brew, and one that is just a bit greater than the sum of its parts. | 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jul 4, 2006 Sweet and tasty. Amber colored beer goes down smooth and is very satisfying. Maltly flavor put this one heads above most marzens I tasted. Not the best I’ve had, but a solid effort.
