This is one of my favs for new glaur! This is what Oktober should taste like, not to dark, but dark enough, with a rich full body that goes down EZ duz it. The caramel taste makes me go like this! go like this! it makes ya go GO GO!!!

Pours amber with red highlights and an off-white head. Aroma of malts, toffee and caramel with mild hop undertones. Flavor follows aroma wonderfully and introduces a slight malty sweetness with a nice crisp light bitter hop finish.

I can honestly say that this is my favorite of the New Glarus bunch. Warm, malty flavor that finishes very nicely clean. A nice compliment to those late fall barbecues or for sitting around the fire as its rich, almost caramel toffee taste enlivens the senses.

Yay! I love good Octoberfests. Caramel, brown sugar, and pecans. A light touch of herbs and spice from the hops. Smooth, thick, rich, and non-sticky. Excellent all-round.

Bottle via trade with DavidP. Clearish amber-red body, thin off-white head. Rich toasty, caramely, cerealy aroma with earthy hops notes. The sweet caramels and cereals are cut by a nice, crisp bitterness and earthy hops finish. Not heavy or cloying like many Oktoberfests. New Glarus is one of the best brewers of session ales and lagers there is.

Poured a rich red-amber color w/ a short head, scant lacing and a mild fruity aroma with touch of hops and hint of alcohol. Light bodied with a smooth malty flavor, some toastiness and slightly bitter in the finish. Just so-so, no date.
