Great balanced flavor, the leafy hops and the sweet malt complement each other well making it extremely drinkable. Strong, full bodied, and easily my favorite example of the style. iwantalambic (1389), St. Louis, Missouri, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 8, 2004 12 oz bottle: great pour: golden bubbles fall throughout the brightly bronzed body, full sandy coloured head forms on top. Brisk, cane sugar aroma with a soft malt bill filled with sweet raisins, lush red apples, and toffee. Rich, nutty malt flavours, but without too much depth. Quick, sweet palate that is slightly grainy and toasted. Not my favorite Oktoberfest flavour, but a great aroma and fairly decent overall. brewblackhole (1386), Muskego, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 29, 2007 Aroma was toasty malt, a touch of apple, and just a little zing of hop, that being said you really had to troll your nose to pick up up any of this, taste was the slightly sweet flavor of German yeast, had a little bit of bitterness after the third sip, refreshing, a nice session brew, but nothing like you get at the German Beer Hall in Milwaukee JCapriotti (1378), Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 11, 2004 Decent sized off-white and creamy head. Nice clear, slightly dark amber body. Sweet malty aroma... interesting. Can’t tell what it smells like. Its sweet bread dough I think, with a little bit of spice. Flavor allows a slight chocolate malt hint to break through the bread overtone. Slight hops wrap the tongue in the finish. Pretty good. RSRIZZO (1369), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Oct 25, 2009 From a 12oz. bottle poured into a Lager glass at 40°. Color is a deep gold with light carbonation and a small head. Aroma is sweet with malt and caramel. Starting with a medium body it goes down with a rich feel. Finish is a sweet candy corn malt taste backed with a hop spice and mellow bitterness. After taste lets the malt come back out for just a moment then leaves you with a smooth feel. Overall its a well done brew just not a style I really like. jaymobrown (1363), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Oct 7, 2004 Stale malt. Not much going on here. Needed a bit more of the cookie, dough flavors to kick through. boto (1352), Granby, Connecticut, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Oct 23, 2008 12oz. bottle: This one pours a very clear copper color. There was a very small white head on it that went away almost immediately. The aroma is caramel malt, and some slightly spicy hops. It has a very clean and crisp taste. Caramel malts with some spiciness. It is a very well executed Oktoberfest. JMerritt (1327), Macomb, Illinois, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Nov 2, 2002 Orange-brown in color with a healthy head. Aroma was thick and malty and hits you in the face like a hammer. Flavor is more bland that I expected. A decent beer, and a decent Oktoberfest, but not spectacular by any means.
