Rich, coppery color. Pleasant malty/hoppy flavor. This is an outstanding Oktoberfest/ marzen.

Nice aroma and clean crisp flavors are noteworthy for this beer. The finish is a little too bitter, otherwise very good and close to the German Oktoberfest flavor.

Aroma was toasty malt, a touch of apple, and just a little zing of hop, that being said you really had to troll your nose to pick up up any of this, taste was the slightly sweet flavor of German yeast, had a little bit of bitterness after the third sip, refreshing, a nice session brew, but nothing like you get at the German Beer Hall in Milwaukee

Bottle pours a clear copper color with an off white head and very little lace. The aroma consists of apple and malt. The flavor starts out sweet and malty and finishes with more of the fruit quality. The palate is not overly rich or light and with some nice carbonation in the small bubble tingly sense. Overall, this is a good Marzen and will look for it again next time I am across the border...

pours an amber red color with a slightly off white creamy head...it looks delicious sitting here. malty sweet aroma with some bread and hazelnut mixed in. Creamy body, not too overly sweet but can certainly notice the malt, nuttiness is apparent as well as some estery flavors. Very tasty Octoberfest compared to some of the others i’ve tried.

Thanks Chuck! Pours to a reddish bronzed color with a thin, rapidly diminishing white head. I like the color, and that’s why a 4 on AP even though the head is nearly non-existent. The aroma is light. Toasted breads and a light coffee. Too light to get a good score. The flavor is nicely malty. Sweet breads and a light tea-style hops. Nice earthy spicyness to it.. Good carbonation and lightly sticky mouthfeel. Medium bodied. I’m digging this O’fest.

I don’t think you can take much artistic license with an Oktoberfest, and this one doesn’t...it sticks with a formula and delivers a clean, crisp beer that makes me think of it as what an Oktoberfest should be. It is a rich copper color, has nice pilsner-like head, and an aroma that malty and light without being grainy or cerealy or overly malt-ball sweet. Flavor is crisp and malty, with a nice structure and noticeable hoppiness. Mouthfeel is quite clean with just a touch of metallic tang. It is really quite nice. I would recommend this beer. Best Oktoberfest I’ve had in recent memory. I bought this bottle at Three Cellars in Franklin, WI.

12oz, no date--though I know it’s been bottled within the last month. Clear orange with hints of brown with a 1/2 finger off-white head. Aroma of nuts, toasted malts, caramel, and only a hint of floral hops. Flavor was fairly sweet--as most Oktoberfests are--and I couldn’t really pick up on any hops. Lots of caramel in the flavor along with some light toasted nuts and malts. Very low bitterness. Moderate creamy carbonation with a medium body. A very well-made Oktoberfest.
