Extremely drinkable with a sweet edge, and a moderate carbonation tingle. I didn’t fall in love with any flavors but found it a very sessionable interpretation of a Belgian.

Really difficult for me to describe..there is a musty ness to it in a good way. Looks very light but has a nice body and flavor although I struggle in the description of it. illinismitty (1811), Nashville, Tennessee, USA

Pours light golden with some hazy and a white head. Nice banana ester aroma. Light bodied, but refreshing and not watery. Very pale wheat malt backbone with lots of banana, and very little clove. yeasty finish. This is sort of like a lighter hefe or Belgian blonde. This would be a nice lawnmower beer if I had access to it. 5000 (2900), Hardened Liver, Washington, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jan 2, 2010 Bottle:   Dull straw, perhaps a bit dark, hazy, dishwater like head, falls quickly, very sparce lacing.   Soft bready nose, some bright spices, pepper, maybe some orange peel or corriander.   Light on the tongue, soft
breadiness, even lighter spices.   Clean, falls off quick tho.   Straight up Belgian... yeah, I can see that.   Yeasty, some pale fruit character, full bodied, mouthfeel thats moderate.   Pretty simple, not as
Belgianesque as I would have liked, but for an American made version its fairly tasty.   Kind of reminds me of a lighter Tripel.   Thanks Chris for the bottle!

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Dec 27, 2009 Clear golden liquid with a large foamy bright white head. Familiar aromas of cloves and belgian yeast strain. Flavors are also similar to most doubles, but with a bit of extra fruity flowers. Unfortunately, like several other New Glarus offerings, I can’t seem to shake a feeling of underlying corn flavor, whether it’s actually there or not! MrChopin (706), Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA

Unexpectedly spicy nose of honey, banana, and wheat. Flavor is quite similar with wheat and sweet gum and honey notes. Not expected, though not entirely thrilled either; the light body doesn’t mesh with the stronger flavors. emacgee (1892), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 14, 2009 Pours a soft peach skin gold with a one finger white head. The nose is big on isoamyl acetate, some spicy hops, bubblegum, yeasty, weizen character. Flavor is banana and yeast, clove, weizen-like, mild citrus character. Palate is soft and creamy with subdued carbonation. mar (1985), Dallas, Texas, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Dec 3, 2009 pours a clear yellow with a thick head. The nose is yeast and grain. The taste comes quickly with the yeast and dry grain qualities with a nice lemony tartness just under the surface. The finish is the delicious Belgian yeastiness with a little soapy smoothness following down my throat. I can’t stop saying how much I like this brewery: minor masterpieces seem to flow consistently.
