Teased from the loam by the kiss of the Sun. Mom’s Strawberry Rhubarb delights are the happy memories of childhood. Diploma Master Brewer Dan employed juicy sweet Strawberries to tame the barbaric wild tart fermentation of rhubarb. Escaped from the far corners of neighboring yards, local rhubarb was incorporated into the wild sour fermentation to create this drinkable dream. Bright sour and effervescent. Toast chilled cold to Bright skies, fireflies, bare feet and rhubarb pies!

Bottle sample at Muckfest V on 7/12/14. Thanks Motortoddhead! Clear amber pour with a medium beige head. Aroma of strawberry, cream and malt. Smells like strawberry Cream Savers. Flavor is sweet and sour strawberry with a full, fruity finish.

Best fruit beer around, hands down. Strawberry flavor is strong without being overpowering. Rhubarb balances the strawberry sweetness and makes this a very enjoyable beer. Not sure I need a pint and nine ounces all for myself, though. Better to share with a friend or two on a warm day.

Murky reddish brown color with a small head. Sweet strawberry aroma with some malt and caramel overtones. Strong strawberry flavor. Sweet. A bit of bitterness, seems like the rhubarb. Thick body.

What can I say? - DESSERT! 750ml Waxed bottle 2013 Woodman’s Kenosha Strawberry & wild rhubarb hit the nose from a distance. Quite strong a lively. No hiding the sour, typical of New Glarus fruits. Cloudy muddy red brown pour that carries a mild to moderate head. Sweet and Sour takes on a new meaning with this example of their ingenious chemistry and fruit mastery. Smoothness amounts to a great blend of tart taste and fruit flavor. Excellent!

Pours a hazy muddy reddish brown. Smell is strawberry tart malt. Taste is sweet and tart and some sour like graininess. Not quite as good as I remember the raspberry tart and Belgian red but very similar with more of a subtle dry strawberry flavor on the same base.

Had thanks to my boy Weasel. Confused how this is considered a beer. Tastes way too much like candy to be beer. Color was a light brown amber similar to a juice. Never had actual rhubarb so hard to know if the strawberry or rhubarb was the star, either way it was excellent.

Fresh bottle. Pours muddy orange/amber with towering tan head. Lots of fruit in the nose - strawberry, some orange. Taste is big strawberry sweetness with some of the acidity and bitterness from the rhubarb. Vibrant fruit here. Sticky sweet.

29.06.2014, 0,75l bottle @ home, courtesy of RobertDale:
Nice slightly bubbly mediumlasting head. Aroma is sweet fruity, strawberry jam, sugar, grass, soda powder, hints of citrus. Taste is slightly sweet sour-ish fruity, fresh strawberries, grass, rhubarb, soda powder, sugar. Slightly fresh and dry light acidic mouthfeel. Nice, but maybe a bit too sweet.

Bottle shared. Pours cloudy amber brown with a small off white head. Aroma of strawberry rhubarb ice cream with jam and cakes and all of the good stuff that reminds me of a home made dessert at my mum’s. Flavour is light heavy sweet with a little touch if acidity lurking behind from the rhubarb. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. It’s all about the fruits but it works pretty well in this one.
