Apple Ale sings with the fresh crisp taste of Wisconsin Apples. Our brewmaster begins with a brown ale base employing Wisconsin farmed wheat and a blend of Cortland, MacIntosh and Jonathan apples. Our apple growing friends squeeze them especially for this brew. Expect this ale to pour a beautiful copper color. The fresh bouquet of Apple will rise to meet you even before the glass touches your lips.

Pours a slightly hazy brownish orange, with a small fizzy white head. Lots of really nice red apple notes on the nose, slight bit of brown sugar and caramel, and very subtle piney hops and toasted malt. Tastes a lot like apple juice, though not really a bad thing, toasty malt and caramel, lots and lots of apple, and not overly sweet. Not a whole lot different than cider, but just with a nice caramely malt character to go with it.

Clear deep amber pour with no head .... aroma of fresh apples and some light sweet malts very ciderish ..... taste is of fresh apples with a caramel malt .... definitely tasting both the brown ale aspects, but mostly apple .... has that ciderish sweet apple mouthfeel, but with depth and body to it ... not thin which is nice ..... finishes dry with light bitterness ..... mouthfeel is practically flat ... nice change of pace over cider

Bottle pour dark golden to copper. Nose pale cider and sweet malt. Taste all apple cider. Nice mix of tart and sweet, but fairly one dimensional.

Like a light cider with some hints of beer -- earthy malt notes, some sort of noble hop? -- mostly like a light cider though in aromas and taste. Dominant apples and markedly drinkable. Beautiful in color - a very pure amber, headless. Finishes slightly sweet. Delicious, simple, and lovable.

All apple all the time. champagne bubbles and a strong fruity feel. No lingering aftertaste. Light body and feels bubbly all the way through.

Bottle, thanks to Jeff. Pours clear yellow goldish with minimal white head - basically looks like apple juice. Aroma: straight up apple cider. Sweet apple dominates - singularly focused this beer is. Taste: sweet apple juice, light toast in the short finish is the only indication that this is a beer rather than a cider. Palate: light body, fine-bubbled carbonation, extremely quaffable. Overall: drinks like sparkling apple juice. Tasty for sure, though not something I could identify as beer without being told.

Bottle. Pours slightly cloud orange-amber with tiny white head that quickly disappears. Nose is freshly peeled apple and apple skins. Light hints of cinnamon. Taste is akin to apple cider, some cinnamon. Champagne like carbonation. Slightly tart. Really tasty. Wow this stuff is delicious!

Looks like I’m the last person to rate this beer. Candy orange. Nose is full of apples. just a huge obvious apple pie to the face. Wow. It tastes just like raw apple right off the tree. Sweet, earthy, raw and really out of the way malt profile. This is one of the most perfect fruit beers.

12 oz bottle into a snifter. Pours an ever so hazy golden amber with some flimsy white edging. Aroma is clearly apples, a nice blend of tart and sweet. A bit of wheat and spice on the end. Taste is similar, very tasty and fresh apple juice with a grainy/wheat finish and a lingering sweetness. Crazy delicious. Crisp and medium bodied, never syrupy or cloying. This is scary drinkable and the best apple influenced beer I’ve ever had. Awesome!

Aroma is almost all apples. It really reminds me of Martinelli’s Apple Cider. Faint maltiness in the background and not quite as sweet. Pours a fairly clear copper orange with a somewhat thin off-white/light tan head that quickly recedes to the edges. Flavor is very similar to the aroma. A light malt note and faint bitterness, but otherwise it is like drinking non alcoholic apple cider. Moderate sweetness but not sticky at all. The apple flavor gets stronger as it lingers on your tongue. Finish is apples and a faint cracker malt note. Mouthfeel is medium light bodied with medium carbonation; this is the big difference from apple cider - it has more body to it. Faint astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall its a very interesting beer. Should I even call it a beer? So much apple character with a faint malt presence and a bit more body than regular cider. This isn’t like drinking a beer with some apple character, but instead like drinking apple cider with a hint of malt.
